The food was delicious and you won't be disappointed with anything you order. The steak was very tender and juicy. However, I had ordered medium and it came out medium-well. Not a big deal but kinda a bummer when that happens. I also had the shrimp cocktail which was packed with horseradish and so of course I loved it. For those who don't like spice, just be warned.
Annie’s Paramount Steakhouse is truly a hidden gem in the heart of the city. We were introduced to this wonderful place about two years ago by our late friend, and it has since become a cherished spot for us to remember him.
The food at Annie’s never disappoints. They are renowned for their steaks, which are always cooked to perfection. However, during our last visit, we decided to try their burgers, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The fries were incredibly delicious, and the burger was cooked exactly how I like it – medium rare.
Annie’s is also famous for their martinis, but be warned, they pack quite a punch! If you’re looking for a place with consistently excellent food and a warm, inviting atmosphere, I highly recommend Annie’s Paramount Steakhouse. It’s a place where memories are made and cherished.
I have heard great things about this place before I moved to this neighborhood and I was so looking forward to patronizing this place every night or so as a new LGBT customer.
However, as soon as I came in and proceeded to the bar counter (on 11/23/24), I was snubbed by the bartender (the dude in the burgundy shirt) - he was solely focused on talking to another customer non-stop ignoring everyone else. I flagged another bartender in the red shirt - he responded right away but was messing up my simple orders (diet vs regular coke and burger with no cheese).
The bartender in burgundy was still talking to his favorite customer after I finished my meal.
Overall, I didn’t feel welcomed at this place - I was soo looking forward to my first experience at this place. I had a way more positive experience at straight venues welcoming LGBT customers.
Alas, I will have to find another place to spend my money on.
So much for welcoming to this neighborhood…It appears that this place rests on its laurels.
I want to come back to this place but only if the manager trains personnel on customer service. In the meantime, I’m going to spread negative feedback about this place not only among the DC LGBT community, but also diplomatic one until this place goes down in history. My high expectations were totally ruined after I was so looking forward to visiting this place.
Great experience..well I've always had a great experience here. I started off with a (LIT) Long Island Ice Tea and Buffalo Wings (Baked)...I will give the LIT a 7 out of 10 and those Wings. .WOW 10/10, they wasn't too spicy and the meat just fell off the bone and right in my mouth..really delicious, Oh, the LIT, too tart but smooth. Next, I had the Fried Chicken Sandwich w/ Fries. Okayyyyyy!!! Crispy, full of Flavor and tender at the same time. This was a great sandwich but what pulled it together was the roll it was served on. Awesome, my friend ordered the Po Boy Sandwich served on a Cibatta bun, he said it was " Bussin" as he demolished it!! Listen, great atmosphere, wonderful bartender and staff. This place is highly recommended and all is welcomed!!
A variety of great food, reasonable prices, attentive and fast service. What more would you want? I really liked this place and would recommend it.
Annie has been around since 1948. Last time we were here was 2009 however the place still exist and it's even better. The staff very attentive, the food comes quickly and the size is good too. Crab cake bites is good size to share and the dip is divine. Bull in the pan and pork chop they come in good size, Im fact we can't even finish it. They are tender and juicy. You should end ur meal with coconut cream pie.
Such a happy discovery while walking the dog. Fantastic food and service from Alfred. Everything we ordered was delicious plus strong mimosas. Planning to go back to try the homemade cinnamon rolls and steak.
I live in the neighborhood, so I’m a regular at Annie’s. My friend and I come here during off hours so that we’re not frustrated with crowds. We usually get the hamburgers, which are delicious, but started branching out. We tried the fried chicken sandwich, crab cake appetizers, and the fish and chips. All were very good!
This is a casual, fun restaurant (some call it a diner) where everyone feels welcome and the food is consistently good and the service is excellent. Enjoy - and welcome to the neighborhood!
