Great for a quiet night stay. Have a dog and were able to back up to the door and she didn’t worry about any outside noises at all. Clean, comfortable, quiet and warm room. It is old but renovated and felt safe.
Owner was very friendly and welcoming.
Wish it was closer to I-70 but didn’t mind the quant little town.
Picked this place as a stopover between Missouri and Colorado, because of the price. The front desk was very courteous given our 11 p.m. arrival. The room was okay. The bed was pretty comfy and they had 5 real pillows! Lots of hotels give horrible ones. The sink area was ok. Bathroom needs updates as the old pink tub and green tile have seen better days. No breakfast, but it's not far to grab some as you leave town. Great little place for an overnight stop.
Down sides: Bathroom needs help. Tile grout is disappearing. Only 1 bedside table on a king bed isn't great and only one plug that's not dependent on the light being on. Lighting over sink is awful.
Traveling cross country, we decided to try out this quaint little motel. It is typical of your standard roadside motels though. I was hoping for a bit more on theme considering it is the Annie Oakley motel... I mean something more in line of what Annie Oakley is famous for! Other than the sign, there's nothing to indicate that this isn't just another random motel and that was disappointing.. What would have been nice is something to point out things in the area relating to Annie Oakley... Even one of those stylized maps that points out places of interest. We got there when it was dark and because there was nothing else to do, we left the next morning. This place could have so much potential and could serve as a gateway to the town. The town's chamber of commerce should work with this place to help them promote the town!
Nicely refurbished mid-century travel lodge. Nice rooms. Great preservation of signs and key architectural features. Location is in the middle of town, which provided us with great streets to explore on our walk. Though it did not quite hit the hotel that night, there’s a feed lot a couple miles out of town that sure impacted many streets nearby. It’s sad to see certain businesses take down such a lovely town.
This was a very unique motel. We were looking for a nice place to stay in Kansas in the way back to Kentucky from Cali. We found it! Very quaint and clean. The service was friendly. The room had VERY COMFORTABLE beds in it, VERY!!! The shower had great water pressure and the water was HOT!! :) I actually had to turn it down it was so hot. The linens were clean and plenty of towels were available. Air conditioning was good as well. We had a great night sleep after driving 14 hrs from Vegas. Thanks Annie Oakley Motel!
I was moving across country & we happened to stop in Oakley KS for the night. What a quaint & comfortable place to spend the night. The rooms are clean & nicely decorated. The staff was very accommodating. Great value for price.
We stayed at this motel on our trip across the USA. As there was very few options we chose this location based on reviews. The room was neat and tidy We had a comfortable night sleep. No parking fee. Budget priced and would recommend if needing overnight accommodation.
One of the best older motels I ever stayed at. This place is super clean. And the owner is great to deal with I will be back next time through town
