I enjoyed my breakfast here - two fried eggs with pan fries and toast, with a side of ham and sausage links. The server was super-friendly. My partner had gluten free french toast which he thought was a little overpriced for how small the portion was, but that’s GF stuff everywhere for you.
I have never been here. I just felt compelled to write a note to the restaurant. Someone posted about this restaurant on Facebook, just that they didn’t know you had this location as they had been to your breakfast location? Anyway, I was just doom scrolling reading reviews. I watched the 5 star reviews from 1-2 years ago, drop to 1 to 2 star reviews the last few months. I just wanted to say, that running a business is harder and harder now a days. It is HARD to find good help and I feel for you and your business. I hope you are able to find more help, or retrain some of the current staff. It sounds like everyone is friendly enough but the customer service and kitchen could use some extra training. I wish nothing but the best for your business and when I am in that area, I definitely plan on stopping in to try it out! You had me at fried chicken and bakery ????
It has gone downhill for sure. There are some staff there that have been there a while you can tell are still trying their best. They hire other staff that stand around, get orders and bills wrong and don't seem to want to help.
Reply is asking for some info. The last time we went we did a take out order and were charged for onion rings, but did not receive them. The kitchen did end up making them but my husband had to wait. The time before that we came in for breakfast, sit down. We noticed a number of staff standing around the bar talking and on their phones. A staff person, who has been working there a while would walk by them, he gave them some direction but they went right back to standing at the bar. The experienced staff ended up doing mostly everything. The order came to us correctly and the bill was correct, but the staff who rang out check only charged our card $14 for both meals. The experienced staff had to come and fix the bill, and run our card again.
Went into the restaurant this evening with my mother, father, wife and kids. Very simple. Order a few hamburgers pizza and even this couldn't be gotten right. French fries were all cold. Burgers were served incorrectly. And lady that was in charge did nothing but give us attitude. All we asked for was to have a side salad comp because they didn't have anything else. We will not be going here again and we regularly come here.
Stopped by last night for dinner with my son and his family. Mind you we frequent here often, usually on Friday nights to exchange the grandkids. We have never had any issues in the past 3 years.
Last night was one of the worst experiences we have had there.
I am sure there was more that one reason that things were not spot on. There was a fair, not expecting so many orders, obviously short staffed. There appeared to be one server taking order, answering the phone and delivering orders.
So how was the meal...
All orders were taken nicely.
Was told they were out of onion rings so opted for sweet potato fries. Not a problem. Several moments (like 5 to 7) we hear yelling from the back "no sweet potato fries". Server then asked if I wanted something different. I opted for a side salad. We were not told that there was going to be an upcharge for it. Salad did not come out with my burger, nor was there any dressing. We had to ask for the dressing types, then waited 5 mins for it. We ended up getting up and going to the bar to get it.
My husband order the cheese burger deluxe no tomato. When it was delivered, there was tomato on it. Not that big of a deal, but what if there was an allergy.
Both my grandson ordered kids meals, one personal pepperoni pizza and one cheeseburger. The pizza came out without the pepperoni and the cheeseburger came out with ice cold fries.
Most of the orders had fries that were cold.
Then we go to pay the bill. Well that was totally horrifying.
Bill total was over $100.00, no including tip. Not complaining, there was six of us eating.
While reviewing the bill, we saw that we were charged full price for what they called a side salad. When we brought this up to the lady at the counter, she went off about how much potatoes cost compare to the salad. Difference of $1.50. Okay? then why charge for the full salad. She stated well the server should have told you. Nothing was mentioned. Again, the server was running her butt off. I also mention that most of the fries that came with the dinners were ice cold. The person behind the counter was well I guess I will have to review with my fryer people. There was not an offer to waive any portion of the bill due to all the mistakes that were made. The lady behind the counter then try to claim some act "Human Error Act"?
This lady behind the counter then stated that if we were that unhappy she could make the server pay for the entire meal. THIS IS ILLEGAL.
This person behind the counter was very curt, and disrespectful.
if i could give 0 stars i would. My mother and I came here for breakfast. After being sat we waited 10 minutes for a menu no one even asked if we wanted something to drink. Finally got a menu, I ordered the french toast. Absolutely bland and tasteless, I had to ask for maple syrup to eat with it. Found a hair in my french toast and the other slice was GREEN. Was it mold or whatever I don’t know i didn’t eat it. No one came around asking if we wanted refills on the drinks or asked how the meal was. Overall terrible experience will not be returning and will be telling others to not go there.
Wow, incredible service and food. Was greeted as soon as we walked in. Ordered an 8 piece chicken dinner with Dave’s logs(wedges) and mac and cheese. Also ordered a side of gravy and a red velvet whoopie pie. As we waited for the chicken and logs to be cooked several others made sure we were all set. Everyone was so nice. Fresh fried chicken and wedges came out and the smell was incredible. We took it to go and ate outside in the car. OMG the chicken was delicious, hot moist and crispy. Seasoning was perfect. Every piece was perfectly cooked. Dave’s logs were the absolute best potato wedges we have ever had crispy seasoned outside creamy inside and then dipping them in the awesome brown gravy was perfect. I could have eaten twenty more. SO loved the mac and cheese. Creamy with crunchy top. First time here, but we will be back.
Wanted a quiet place to eat and stumbled upon Annette's. Very happy we did. Chicken parmesan sandwich was juicy, tender, and wonderful. Fried pickles were crispy and tangy. Hubby had the Bomb prime rib steak. He says I was excellent. Definitely recommend and will return
