It was a chilly night on the river but so worth it! The Philly was the Thursday special and I do recommend! It was absolutely delicious. I am sure the staff had a long, chilly day but they were still so nice and cheerful - I would've been ready to go home! Can't wait to return to try something else on the menu!
Great stop for lunch! We had no wait to be seated. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu has delicious offerings like sandwiches and plenty of cold, refreshing drinks. The river breeze blows through and gives a relaxed vibe. Dog friendly. I would love to dine here again!
Although touted as a floating restaurant, you’ll never know you’re floating. There’s no movement whatsoever, not even a gentle rocking. Their seating is all outdoors, and there’s no bad seat. You’re on/in the river and it’s lovely.
Our waitress was phenomenal and the kitchen was FAST. Unfortunately the food was just so incredibly salty that it wasn’t good. Wings and crab cakes were just… salt licks. Wings were fried well, at least.
I ordered a drink that was supposed to be frozen but was completely melted and separated by the time she brought it over - and she brought it over very quickly after I ordered it! My frozen drink looked nothing at all like the fun drinks everyone else is posting photos of. It tasted fine, but I would be shocked if it actually contained any liquor like it was supposed to. It just tasted like fruit juice.
For atmosphere it’s top notch but the food just isn’t worth the cost. For what I ended up spending we should have walked further down and dined at one of the nicer restaurants on the riverwalk.
Parking is costly but that’s to be expected for this location.
What a great find after we visited the battleship USS North Carolina (which you can see from this restaurant). Anne Bonny's is a floating bar & grill right on the river. Great view, fun atmosphere, food was delicious and reasonably priced, drinks were yummy. Nice breeze while dining and it's also pet friendly. Staff were friendly. The ships wheel pretzel is a must!
My best friend and I had dinner there last weekend and had a really good experience! We both had burgers and it was one of the best ones I've ever had. The service was amazing our server Sophie went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy ! I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back!
Beautiful night on the waterfront with the sunset on the porch. I had some great cheese curds and fish n chips that were fresh and tasty!
I doesn't get much better than this. Right on the riverwalk on a boat docked to the walk, they have seafood and sandwiches at moderate prices. It's a gem!
They had some creative cocktails as well, we enjoyed a dreamsicle cocktail and the special frozen coconut daiquiri looked marvelous!
Super fun spot in downtown Wilmington right ON the river, literally.
The resturant itself is a floating barge attached to the riverfront. When large ships go by or if there’s a wake of any kind you can feel the barge bob with the movement of the water.
The food and drink selection is fantastic. I’ve had many a visit with a frozen cocktail and they’ve never missed.
One of my go to food orders here is the River Philly. One of the best cheesesteaks in town. The fries are crinkle but a smaller cut than usual and very crispy.
If you’re a local that hasn’t been, or just visiting the city for a short while, stoping here for a meal needs to be on your list of to-do’s.
Floating on the Cape Fear River, you'll find yourself aboard a fabulous restaurant. First, make sure you're in Meg's section! I'm sure all the staff is wonderful, but Meg is awesome! Great atmosphere, super views of the river, and boats passing by. Food was fire! Fried banana pepper rings, bam, flavor town! Got the Sea Dog. The thing was 1/2 the length of my arm. Fish was friend to perfection and super light. It was quite delicious. Dog friendly, but there was quick dog dust up while there. Always a toss up whether letting animals in is a good thing, usually not the animals fault, but owners that don't understand they're animals and not people. I'm not a hugh fan of that, and I own a therapy dog to many unknowns for restaurants, though. Not really a complaint, there were a few dogs and most they were well-behaved. This is a must stop, though, for lunch or dinner!
