I am very saddened and disappointed with the customer service I received tonight. My delivery took over an hour for one but I was still patiently waiting. I get my food and give the elderly driver a generous tip. I sit down to eat and this is what I open the box too. Not only that the pizza is not made the way I ordered it. I call them to let them know and was treated very nastily! The woman was very rude and nonchalant and was almost laughing that I spent my hard earned money on slop! I placed a delivery order for a reason and she insisted I come pick up another pizza because the drivers supposedly left for the evening! Like look at it, would any of you eat this? Its uncooked as well. I will never in my life order from here again nor will my friends and family!!
Yea, hard no on this place. Looks like a cool little spot that was always busy. Service was good at first then they vanished until my calzone appeared almost 30 minutes later. I went with Anna’s Calzone and whoever made it achieved the Taco Bell of Calzone award for placing all fillings on one half, then the cheese on the other. Pretty much like Taco Bell lazily does it. They’re very proud of the product from the prices.
The calzone looked beautiful when it arrived but the sausage, hamburger and other filling were flavorless. Not even the sauce helped on the side. There’s two tables in here and my soda was empty. Server came over and asked if I needed more napkins???? How about a drink to get the taste out of my mouth.
I have celiac. Anna's has, by far, the best gluten free pizza I've had yet. Their Greek Godess is my favorite on the menu. We don't dine in, but we order delivery every now and then. The delivery is quick and the pizza is always consistently amazing. Definitely my favorite.
I’ve ordered there numerous times and they have always been great! Delivery time is accurate or better than they have said, and pizzas are excellent! Did have an error on my last order but they made it right so that makes them great on all levels in my book! Will certainly order again!
The people of Hartford don't appreciate this place enough. I had been on the road traveling for work so getting a good homestyle meal can be a luxury at times. I stopped for gas in Hartford near my hotel one night and stumbled on this spot, decided to go for dinner. Food was fantastic, service was very friendly and they are generous with portion sizes and good prices. The atmosphere is very cozy and reminds me of home. It was so good, I went there the next night for dinner after work. The next time my job brings me to Hartford, I know where I'm going! God bless this place and the people who run it!
Been ordering from this restaurant for about 20 years and although the food has gotten increasingly worse, we continued to give them a chance. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. We ordered wings, a large pizza and a chicken salad. The delivery came very fast and we soon determined why. The pizza was grossly undercooked and the salad looked as if it had been out for days. Chicken was old, dry, stringy, rubbery and bland, lettuce was very wilted and wet in places, and brown in others, and there were old, poisonous tasting mushrooms in there. We called back to voice our concerns and the first thing they said was, "well, no one else has ever complained ". I find that very hard to believe but regardless if no one else has, it's your job to listen to my complaint and work to make it better. They didn't. I will never patron this restaurant again and the food is sub par...worse than sub par, and Anna's Restaurant and Pizza of East Hartford should be ashamed of themselves. I do not recommend them to anyone. Find somewhere else to go and don't make the same mistake we did by spending our hard earned money to support this restaurant who does not care about the quality of their food, their customers and hence the community. The customer service is HORRIBLE. There was an item that I ordered and paid for that was left out of my bag. It was late when I ordered, and by the time I realized it the restaurant was closed. I contacted them the next day, and the owner rudely said that there was nothing that he can do and refused to even offer me the item that I never received. this is not the first time that I have experience bad customer service at this establishment. Queen Pizza now gets all of my business. Amazing food as well as customer service. And the sad part is I actually order a couple if not a few times a week. The owner should be more considerate, especially when at fault for not delivering someone’s full order when they’ve paid.
Okay, I really wanted to like this restaurant since it's a local business and has been around for awhile but it seems it's run by people other than the original owners. It started with a slight wait for seating, followed by being placed in a middle booth where the woman behind my husband spent the whole time coughing and blowing her nose. The waitresses we had were nice. Hubby had steak and eggs with hash browns, ???? ???? and I had pancakes and bacon ????. My 3 pieces of bacon really equaled 2 and my pancakes would have been good if I had received them hot. Hubby's steak was super small, cooked the way he wanted but tasteless (and trust me we weren't expecting a 5 star steak at Anna's), his over easy eggs were spot on and he said he enjoyed the hash browns and coffee. So saying, I would have returned to see if maybe lunch or a second go round would change my mind but the hubby pointed to a spot behind my left shoulder and when I looked my mouth dropped....an older lady who worked there and I believe our waitress was behind the counter eating food. The counter where it looked like they took cash, put down food and plates etc..I was like uhm..in the front, where the customers are...it didn't seem like a lunch break for our waitress. Don't you have a break room? It was a total turn off. I will not be back.
