This place has been around long before I was even a thought. After coming I can understand why.
Anns Dari-Creme hasn’t changed much since they opened. It simply has a local charm to it. This is a spot you come to with your significant other to get food, sit and eat on the trunk of your car or the tailgate of your truck.
The food is simple, its fast, its good.
The dogs used are beef dogs which are superior to pork and you don’t feel bloated after eating them. The cheese is good, the chili is tasty and plentiful. The buns taste fresh and homemade. This place is just different and if you’ve never been you must try it.
My only regrets are not coming sooner, and not ordering a shake or ice cream!
My chief complaint is the size of the dogs they are super skinny so you may want to order a double or triple dog. Other than that I gotta acknowledge lack of structure/order when placing orders but it honestly wasn’t an issue as the patrons who come to Ann’s are honest and nice people who don’t try to steal your place in line.
I used to go here all the time as a little boy. The last time I came back to Maryland from Colorado we stopped in and loved it. We finally got back to Maryland this month for a visit we knew we had to go back and we went tonight. It was fantastic as usual. I only wish my grandmother was still here as she loves going here as well.
The ice cream here is great and it’s also very cheap. The prices are fair across the board and they cook the food right in front of you. I got a large vanilla cone dipped in chocolate, I recommend it. Service was nice. They take credit cards and apple pay. only negative is the place is a little dirty and could use a fresh coat of paint.
We have been coming to Ann's for years. The hotdogs are always delicious as are the chilli cheese fries. The cherry shake tastes like sunshine!
It's amazing and impressive how the staff can memorize and remember who ordered what without writing it down.
I have been coming here for over 20 years. I move away from the area in 2012 and visit friends about 1 years. Normal never have time to makeover. Well this past trip, I made it a point. Stop in for lunch got my got to Doubled Dog with everything. Still tasted the same as I remember it. Keep going Ann's!
For those that give the food less than 5 star, don't understand the special uniqueness of this place. Yes you can get a better burger or dog many places, but you can never do it like Ann's does!!!
I live about 2 miles from Ann's Dari-Creme.
I have lived in Glen Burnie for most of my life and have eaten there numerous times in the past and loved it. I used to rave about their footlongs to friends. However, when I recently got one with the works, it was awful! The quality of the hot dog itself was poor and the chili was gross. Flavorless. It was unbelievable. My husband even asked, "Wow, this is from Ann's?? Yuck, what happened to them?!" Their famed footlong had no taste whatsoever! We took a couple of bites then tossed them. Yes, it tasted that bad to us. It's definitely not the Ann's footlong from years ago. Not even close. Also, the girls/ladies who work there were very nasty and unfriendly. In fact, I don't remember them ever being that friendly, even years ago. I was looking for a smile from any of them, but didn't see one. They made me feel like they don't care about being nice or welcoming when a customer walks in. Perhaps they act that way due to their fame? I would suggest that they work on customer relations, but really, what does it matter to them? Anyway, I haven't been back since. Truly disappointing.
70+ years strong! Had not been here in years but was in the area for work and to see it still thriving before, during, and after the shopping mall phase is refreshing. Ordered a cheesteak, fries, and banana ???? shake. Food was hot and simple - except I wish the fries were a bit crispier as they had been sitting under the lamp. We found 2 seats at the bar after ordering and the place filled up quickly with a line out the door as usual. Staff was friendly and service was FAST.
Stopped in today for the first time in a long time and it's just as I remember it! Half double dog w/ everything was good as always, fries were fresh and hot, and the chocolate shake was thick as ever. Takes me right back to my childhood. Hope Ann's is there forever!
