I would leave no stars if i could. I have long been an advocate for Cannon Hospital. I'm not sure when the Er staff has lost their passion for care of their patients. Yet my family was left severally disappointed over the care of Grandmother. She was taken Monday, December 2nd, after being referred by the Urgent Care of Clemson. My aunt sat in on a phone call to the small town hospital notifying them she was on her way. When my aunt arrived and my grandmother was taken back to the check-in, they were asked what they were doing there. My aunt stated it was the same voice who answered the phone when UC called on her behalf. My grandmother was severally dehydrated due to a stomach virus that wouldn't go away. She was to be transferred to the main Anmed hospital in Anderson for a surgery that was put on hold until her stomach virus could be identified and her electrolytes brought under control. While she waited for her transport, she was told she was not allowed to have water, given anything for a fever of 102, nor was she given anything to restore the electrolytes she'd lost.
The main anmed campus was furious at her treatment by Cannon and began true urgent care with IVs. She is grandmother to 6 & a great-grandmother to 2 (including a newborn baby boy (she hasn't met due to all this) welcomed two days prior to this sickening excuse for care.)
From now on well just go to the main hospital.
Listen if you’re like in a pinch and this place is nearby and you have nowhere else to go because your broke a finger or something like that then this place will work but honestly otherwise I would just avoid this place. The building in general needs some serious updating and in my opinion the doctors as well. I mean the nurses were great and they were all nice and asked me questions and listened to the answers but then when the doctor came in he didn’t even greet me or nothing he looked like someone needed to take HIM to the ER, he asked me ONE question and didn’t even let me finish answering it, breezed through seeing me (I mean he was in the room for MAYBE 2 minutes) and essentially blew me off and any concerns I had. The whole thing just kind of felt like I didn’t get the reassurance or proper care thatI needed. I NEVER bring myself to the doctor and I really needed medical attention and I debated going because I didn’t want to go and not be taken seriously or basically experience exactly what I experienced. I never saw the doctor again after that maybe two minutes and a nurse came in said “ready to go?” gave me some pills and a script and sent me on my way.
Alternatively though I did not wait that long, I went on a Sunday night there was only one other person ahead of me. I was in and out in an hour give or take. The process seemed somewhat efficient. That’s the only reason it has any redemption along with the nurses.
This place will ask you thousands of questions before giving you a room. I came here in hopes it would be better then other hospitals near me. WORST mistake of my life. my sister was passing out cant breathe asking “did you come here in car?” why does that matter she cant breathe?? dont ever come here. its the worst hospital you will find. Not helpful at all worst service ever. I hope this place goes out of business. If you care about your fellows, NEVER come here.
If I could leave a zero star, I would. My sister had her appendix removed after an emergency rupture. They gave her no other option for pain meds other than Ibuprofen before and after surgery! To watch her hurt the way she did was disgusting and disturbing! My nephew was there today with debilitating stomach pain and the way he was treated was unethical and morally wrong. Thankfully, he was able to get out and go to Easley Baptist and the Easley nurses and staff were incredibly wonderful to him. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.
Went in for a high fever and was told I had a bad kidney infection so was given a antibiotic and some fluids and sent on my way, little did I know I was actually almost in kidney failure. My wife called about a possible side effect of the antibiotic i got and was given attitude about our concerns from the nurse. I saw Dr. Dillard 2 times in the 4 hours I was back in a room and I didn't see him before I was discharged. If you can avoid this place at all cost do it for your own good.
Went to ER with severe stomach pains and vomitting. The Dr didn’t even touch me. No meds, no IV for fluids. Nada. Very unprofessional and no information on MyChart about the visit.
I went in to the er last night to reassure myself that everything is ok with my pregnancy. I started spotting slightly at 9 weeks and have had two previous losses. Triage nurse blankly said they don’t deal with baby or pregnancy stuff and told me I was basically screwed because I got pregnant so fast after my miscarriage.. then doctor Dillard ordered labs and my hcg came back very low indicating I had a miscarriage again and let me go home with no explanation. So in a panic I rush to Easley to get better treatment and came to find out the lab made a lab error and didn’t bother to tell me or explain. Dr. Dillard and dr. Caldwell really all the Dr. there are incompetent and have no care for anything and the nurses or this particular nurse in triage should not be a nurse. I will never go back here again I would not even send my pets here
I went to the ER with legs infection I was coming across the parking lot and my legs give out and I feel I'm on blood thinners so I was laying there a bloody mess. A nurse getting off work saw me and went and got me help they took me straight back and started working on me. But my legs were in bad shape. So I ended up staying 4 days. I tell you what the hospital food was out of sight. They made some real changes to the hospital in the best way. I would recommend them to anyone
