Best WLM Reviews
I’ve been to Anjappar several times, both for takeout and dine-in, and each visit has been a treat.
Their food is consistently well-seasoned, and the spicy dishes pack a punch—something I really appreciate. While I don’t have a clear favorite yet, if I had to choose, their lamb and goat curries are always fresh, flavorful, and deliver the perfect level of heat, which I love. I also make sure to order their Chai with every visit—it’s delicious, though I wish the serving was a bit larger. The same goes for their side of rice; I wouldn’t mind a more generous portion.
The service is decent—not exceptional, but not bad either. There have been times when they were very attentive, being timely with taking my order and checking in regularly, but other times when they were less responsive or I felt rushed. It’s a mixed bag.
Despite that, Anjappar remains my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. In terms of quality, freshness, and bold flavors, it stands out from the competition. Overall, I’d rate this place 4 out of 5 stars, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. I’d recommend it for both casual meals and takeout when you’re in the mood for authentic Indian food.
The photos below are from my most recent visit, though I don’t remember the names of the dishes.
This is our first time. Food was excellent and after a long time we had such delicious food. Must try place if you love Indian food. A lot to choose from menu.
Fantastic food. My new favorite Indian place.
My new favorite Indian restaurant.
Strong flavors. And if you tell them extra spicy, they’ll actually make it decently spicy.
We were the only white people there. Every single other person was Indian.
I can’t wait to go back.
The service is attentive and friendly. We’re very familiar with Indian food (although there were lots of new dishes for us on their enormous menu), but of course they don’t know that, and did a great job attempting to explain things and give suggestions.
I usually take and post good pictures but the first dish was so good I forgot!
I tried really hard to think of something to improve, and the only thing I can think of is that the papadum appetizer isn’t as good. It didn’t taste fresh. But tbh, the rest of the food is so amazing (I have high standards for Indian) that it’s not a big deal. Just something small they could improve. :)
Have been here several times due to the high level of quality and service this place provides. Food is beyond amazing and they have buffet options on weekends which is worth it. They have many options on their menu to choose from. Unfortunately, I keep eating the food so fast before I can take any pics, so I will try to take more ???? to update my review in the future. I highly recommend trying this place if you want authentic, delicious Indian food.
Been here a few times and food has been mostly good. Yesterday was really good food. The mirapakkaya prawns and veechu parota were amazing. Service has always been consistently good.
When we go as a group there is typically a delay (which is expected) but can be improved.
Major concerns is roach which kept coming back. They immediately tried to address it but worried from other reviews how it is handled inside kitchen. Also thankfully we managed to move our food before roach got into it. I really wish this will be sorted out and I’ll happily add the 5th star
I ordered the butter chicken, garlic naan (medium spice), chicken kothu parrota, (spicy), poori bhaji, and malabar parrota.
The food tasted fresh. The kothu parrota was seasoned well but really lacked any spiciness!
The butter chicken was good and creamy with tender pieces of chicken and the perfect ratio of tanginess, sweetness, and spice.
But tell me, how did the butter chicken that I ordered to be medium spice end up being more spicy than the kothu parrota that was ordered to be spicy?? I mean the kothu parrota had literally no spice. So disappointing.
The malabar parrota was dry but had a good texture and flavor. Garlic naan was very good, soft and buttery with a good amount of garlic.
The poori was good, the potato masala that came with it was fresh but it did not have the needed spices. Definitely bland…
The parrota salna was a fail….unfortunate. I mean it was way too watery and had literally no spice. Salna does need to be thinner than a regular curry, but not to the point where it is just colored water.
I think the food would have been much better if the proper amount of spices requested were used! Everything other than the butter chicken was far too bland.
We ordered togo from door dash, the food was below average, their special paneer masala was very watery and no gravy at all. I have shared the pic for same. Rice was not upto mark.
Paneer kadai had a lot of oil.
Not going to order from here again.
Food was plain bad. We ordered Anjapar Spl Paneer, it was bland. We waited 20 mins for the food and when I told the waitress, she got another waiter who was extremely rude and was forcing us to pay for the item. We have refused the item but the management got the same food out and forced it infront of our faces. I would not be visiting again. Really horrible customer service. They should atleast get good staff, if they can’t make good food.
