Best WLM Reviews
It’s always fun to discover new restaurants when you travel. I usually let my apps guide me to new places, but I also rely on people who already live in the local area to guide me to the best options, and that is how I got to know Anita New Mexico- Style Mexican Restaurant in Herndon, Virginia.
I visited Anita’s for breakfast and I was more than satisfied with the many options on the menu. When you think of New Mexico style food, you immediately think of red and green chiles. And yes, many of the food items do, indeed, feature these additions. However, for breakfast, the focus is on breakfast burritos and American style breakfast entrees, so you don’t need to think about red or green chiles altering the flavor of a classic breakfast you know and love.
I selected the Three Egg Omelet when I visited, complete with hash browns and assorted meats. Chips and salsa were complementary and every person in my dining party ordered something different. We all enjoyed what we ordered and I liked that the portion size wasn’t gigantic. It was just enough to fill me up. I also appreciated the attentive service.
With parking, this Anita’s restaurant is located at the triangle- shaped intersection of main roads, so it could be an issue to get into the lot and find a space to park. But don’t let this obstacle get in your way. Anita’s New Mexico- Style Mexican Restaurant is a good choice for a satisfying meal, and it earns my recommendation.
The food is always great and the employees are all super nice. I’ve always been seated very quickly, or if I’m ordering carry out, it’s always ready on time. I miss when they had a drive thru, but if you call in and place an order, it’s super quick.
Cute little place open early if you need a bite within 15mins of Dulles airport. They are open early and serve a good breakfast spread of New Mexican style burritos and American style breakfasts.
I ordered the Chicano breakfast burrito with green Chile, cheese, and potatoes. The burrito was good despite the fact they forgot to add rice to it. I would still go back.
The service was great. The food was good. However it was $20 per person to eat here. For the quality and amount it was not worth it. Also they had a frosted glass door on the bathroom that looked out to the dining rooms. They also have a drive-thru at this location. Out of all the Anita's Restaurants, this was the best in food and service.
Best breakfast burritos. Cheap and fast and delicious. Been eating here for 20 years. They have multiple locations. We were working here Saturday and my guys had not ever tried the burritos. They were not disappointed. Keep it up Anita’s…… and that red sauce is delicious
Just dropped for some 1am tacos after a late flight. Always nice to find something open this late and Anita’s didn’t disappoint. Tacos were tasty and came out fast. Place was clean and nice looking and staff was pleasant. Huge menu that was almost too big, but nice to have choices. Will definitely be back for more.
New Mexico doesn't get much respect, it's not as popular as Texas or even California... but there's an honest feel to decent things and that's what you expect. The simple to go orders keep this place in business and it's great stuff, but sit down and enjoy a plate of smothered burrito or an enchilada and then it's worth the extra few dollars. Kind people, good coffee and great food. And no, it's not spicy.
I recently visited Anita's Mexican Restaurant and had an okay experience overall. The pork and chorizo burrito lacked flavor, but for a 6 am meal, it did the job.
However, I did have a few issues with the service. Firstly, the to-go ordering system was not helpful in identifying which burrito we received, as there was no label. This made it difficult to know what we were eating. Additionally, I was surprised to be asked for a tip even for over the counter service to-go, and it felt a bit awkward to be asked for a signature for such a transaction.
Overall, while the food was decent, the service could use some improvement. If you're in the area and in need of a quick bite, Anita's Mexican Restaurant might do the trick, but there are likely better options available.
