My mom and I stumbled across this as we were leaving Wells Fargo. As my mom was moving into the area, we wanted to see what restaurants were around. As we stumbled around, we saw this, and we decided to stop, immediately walked in, and decided to order. It had a friendly, warm, inviting atmosphere, laid back, and was busy for lunch. Highly recommend.
I read the reviews and was hesitant to go but we wanted seafood so we went anyway. I have to say the food was really good. We had the catfish basket and seafood boil. The prices were good. It's seafood - it's expensive but the amount of food you get for what you pay was worth it. Seasonings and flavors were good as well. It was nice and cool in the restaurant. Marie and Delaney were amazing. We will definitely be back!!!!!
This is the absolute best location to go to!! Customer service is through the roof! Staff is so friendly, & always smiling. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. The food is hot, fresh & definitely delicious.
I can’t justify going back for the decor/ambience, and certainly not the food i had. The service and waitress were excellent, but i went there after they just opened in the late morning and the mens bathroom smelled like piss (obviously wasn’t cleaned properly or at all) and the $15 appetizer trio platter was a tasteless bunch of battered i don’t know what?? It was supposed to be fried clam strips, shrimp and calamari and i couldn’t tell which was the clam strips and which was the calamari- even after eating some of it??. Never had calamari served like that and i hope i never do again- it was a real disappointment as i had hoped that would be one of the restaurants in the area i could take family and friends for a great seafood meal but honestly if they cant clean the place better or do better with the seafood dishes i will never return!! Windows were dirty with stickers on them, walls by the booths were not properly finished/painted, floor was bare concrete and unappetizing, and the fact people were allowed to write with crayons all over the walls might have been a good business concept if the rest of the place was clean but it wasn’t clean- so VERY BAD BUSINESS IDEA!! Get a manager/owner who cares and you will do very well!
Went here with my partner a few days ago. Our server was super-helpful and walked us through the different menu selections. We ended up sampling so many things on the menu and had a wonderful time. The chef and the manager both came out to greet us as well. Will definitely eat here again!
Food was good.
Service was horrid. Unsure why it took 15 minutes to bring us a check. Too busy talking with buddies then saw us looking and suddenly remembered. Other waiters checked on us more than our own. We were 1 of 3 tables, and each server had a single table. So unsure again, why someone else took our order.
Our sort of server was Ally, young blonde girl.
It was 9:15pm, yes you guys close at 10pm but why did we decide to mop the bathroom floors leaving it in standing water. Bathroom doors didn’t lock in the woman’s.
We made our own boil with just shrimp and blue mussels with a pice of corn each. We got the trifecta sauce and went for a mild spice. It was still spicy. The food was great. I was really surprised after all the other reviews that I read. I guess it depends when you go. Jenna was our server, and she was awesome.
Lives up to the shack name- the food was really good! Very messy! Price point was average with other sea food places. I do think however, you get more for what you pay for. Do NOT wear nice clothes. Just saying...(messy). Will be back soon!
