Went to the angry crab shack & BBQ for my birthday last night and we had the best waiter named Joe! He made sure my night was awesome and the food was delicious! Hands down will be returning soon! Thank you Joe and staff for the birthday song
Our room at the Hyatt was not ready when we arrived from the airport, so they suggested we get lunch next door at the Angry Crab Shack & BBQ. We weren't sure what to expect as we walked across the parking lot. We weren't even sure they were open. However, once we opened the door and walked inside, we were greeted by delicious smells and voices of other customers.
We were there on a Wednesday afternoon and it was fairly empty. So no long wait list to get inside. Service was quick and efficient. Our server was super friendly and helped us select some favorites. She was right. Food was delicious.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and fun. "Graffiti" of signatures and messages were on everything. Reading everything written on the walls by our table helped us pass the time as we waited for our food, which did not take long. We ordered deep fried pickle chips, burger and fries, and catfish and fries. YUM!!
What a pleasant surprise and a great find!
Angry crab shack a BBQ would be a place to have a party. With friends that don't mind eating messy. A girlfriend or spouse that would go 4x4 riding and not mind the dirt muddy and dust. Maybe bringing your own bowl would be a suggestion. And since the drinks are pretty trashy. A designated driver to get you back to your ride in the desert. Today was my first time the menue was crazy. Everything looked good. I had a dungeoness crab bag. And added a few items. The buttery sauce is best no heat for me. I forgot to take pics, of the bag of food. Omg , that good eats.
This place was sooo good. Like imagine watching the TikTok’s of ppl eating seafood boils, but instead you’re actually the ones eating. Too good. And then the actual service and the manager is so cool. Erica, my server, was soo amazing and attentive. Really appreciated the night and they made it so much better. Will be coming back soon!
We came in 15 minutes till they closed and they still sat us. The service was amazing thanks to our servers Paula and Cesar who made us feel very welcomed even though we made them stay past closing hours on a holiday. We never felt rushed or pressured during the meal. The food was phenomenal, service was fantastic, overall money well spent.
Went here tonight just before 5pm. It’s not much to look at from the outside, but it’s nice once you get inside. All the staff was super friendly.
I was caught off guard by it being a Cajun restaurant rather than a typical sea food place (I didn’t research it ahead of time at all). But definitely not disappointed.
Food was fantastic! I got a pound of crawfish and a pound of shrimp. Went with the Trifecta seasoning. Delicious.
Price wise, about $25/person once you factor in a drink. I also got a slice of caramel cheesecake that was richly divine.
Great place!
Lilly was an AMAZING waitress and my sister and I were waiting for our hotel and decided to venture here. Lilly went far and beyond to make our visit spectacular! The food was awesome and drinks too! This was our first visit traveling from VA and Chicago and we will be back! Thanks Lilly our gorgeous queen waitress!
I was so excited to visit here on our road trip. Sadly, my server didn't give me confidence in the restaurants ability to keep a food that I am allergic to from cross contaminating my meal. When we first sat down, I asked if I would be able to eat at this restaurant with a pork allergy and that it is bad enough to nearly kill me. He said, " Yes, we don't serve pork." I informed him that sausage is usually pork. To which he responded, " Oh yea, but that's all." I asked if it was possible to cook my food without cross contamination. He said"Yes" and then informed me that the vegetables were stored with with the sausage in the back. So I asked that my seafood be cooked and served separately. He told me that they could do that and we placed our order. When the food arrived, it was all mixed together. When I pointed it out, he said, " It should be fine." ( waving his hand as if i should dismiss my concern. I told him that it really wouldn't. He apologized for putting the order in wrong and took it back to be fixed. I could shake the feeling that this wasn't going to end well. ( he came out of the kitchen laughing and joking with a coworker.) We asked for a manager, but our server came out and said that he was mad at the people in the back for messing the order up and wasn't mad at me. He was completely missing the issue. I calmly explained that the real issue was that I am afraid to eat here because I am not confident that I won't end up in the hospital. I reiterated that my allergic reaction is almost epipen worhy. He responded, " Oh, do you have one? I hear they are expensive." At this point, I was just finished with the conversation and didn't know how to get him to understand the gravity of the situation, and I refuse to be rude or lose my cool. I just told him that I really don't need to see the manager. Honestly, I'd lost all hope that this server could understand how important his job is in this situation. I really hope that this server(Jesus) gets better training.... or finds a job that better suits him. He is definitely a liability to this restaurant and a danger to its patrons. I'm sorry to write such a bad review.. I just can't let anyone get ill because of a situation like this.
