I heard about Angry Chickz for a while now. It’s going to open in Fremont, which is where I live. Because it’s still closed, I decided to go to a nearest location which is in San Jose close to Westfield Valley Fair Mall.
I have different takes when it comes to the food here. The fries are totally delicious especially with good seasonings they added to it and how crispy they are. The chicken meat unfortunately tastes like nothing, but you may want to dip it in the sauce to get the taste. The skin with the mild coatings tastes flavorful. The slider also makes up for that taste too.
The atmosphere of this place is very similar to other chicken shops and I am quite surprised how fast the service is. I’m looking forward to dining the same establishment in Fremont soon!
* The chicken sandwich you’ve always hoped for! So crispy and delicious with yummy cole slaw! Flavor bomb! The fries were the crispiest and we couldn’t stop eating them! Did I mention that the portions were enormous! The two slider plate w/ fries was definitely enough for 2 hungry people. We had some fries left over and saved our side order of cole slaw for later. Such a deal and so much better than fast food!!! Can’t wait to return for more‼️????????????
I've been to Angry Chickz quite a few times, and I am in love with their take on Nashville hot chicken. They season it really well, and there is a range of spice levels for all preferences. My favorite dish is their Angry Mac, which is a mix of tenders, fries, and mac & cheese. It's so indulgent and satiating.. The best part for is that this location serves halal chicken! (Note that not all Angry Chickz do, as far as I know.)
I usually order takeout so I'm not in the building for long, but from what I've it's nicely decorated and big enough for plenty of dine-in customers. All the staff I've interacted with have been friendly, and the food is usually ready when the apps indicate.
So yeah, I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area!
OK here we go. Angry Chickz has cured me of my spicy chicken sandwich fetish. There is not much new to see here.
The buns are cheap Walmart type buns, they use chicken strips/fingers, so you end up with too much bun. The slaw is OK.
Bad management, one girl working her tail off up front while everyone else goofs off in the back. No one cleaning tables.
There are some positives. If you are a heat freak they have you covered. They REALLY bring the fire! ????????️. I would not go above "Hot" on their scale if I were you. ☠️
The chicken strips, though small, are pretty good.
The fries were great as was the fry sauce but they hardly put any sauce in the cups so we had to ask for 4 plastic cups, so wasteful!
Oh, we also liked the Mac, spicy chicken and fries on the bottom. Great keto dish! ????
I was going to give 3 stars but I think under normal conditions, pre-2019 with a motivated workforce and better buns, this would be 5 stars.

This location was clean as your house, I don't usually take Pictures of the restrooms on the locations in general but just to give you a better idea how clean they are I did! Was worth the shoot.

We had a great experience here today. The mac and cheese bowl with chicken in it is nice and creamy and just the right spice. It is a meal in itself.
The chicken sliders in combo #1 are much bigger than a normal slider, and the chicken was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The slaw on the sliders was excellent and would be great by itself. Their french fries are seasoned to perfection, and I ate them without needing ketchup or anything.
The chicken with rice combo #4 had awesome chicken, but the rice was not buttery, as the description said, and it was just plain tasting and dry. Recommend if you get this combo to take it home where you can season the rice up.
The servings are huge, and a single order of a combo can feed two people easily.
The spice levels are superb! I got the Extra hot, and it was borderline too hot for me, and I can take some serious spice levels. The Hot level was perfect, and that is the one I will go back for!
The customer service was great, and the lady was really helpful with our questions when we were ordering.
The bathroom was super clean, too!
My suggestion to the restaurant is to add some ranch dip for the sliders etc.
I am the type of person that doesn't do reviews very often. However I wouldn't feel right if I didn't give this spot the praise that is very well deserved. This place has the best chicken sliders along with their angry Mac and cheese! No one else even comes close! It is my go to place whenever I am in the area. You will not be disappointed!
This establishment was clean with nice decor and great air conditioning. Menu was simple but a bit pricey. The chicken was huge and the (seasoned) fries were really good. Macaroni and cheese was hot, but bland. Our orders all arrived fresh & hot! Tables were spread out and there was plenty of room to eat and move around.
