Angolo Restaurant - Georgetown, DC
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recently visited Angolo Restaurant in Georgetown for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening out.
I started with the Pizza Napolitana, and it was absolutely divine. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of char. The fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil created a harmonious blend of flavors that transported me straight to Naples.
Next, I tried the Eggplant with Spinach, and it was equally impressive. The eggplant was tender and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the fresh spinach. The dish was seasoned to perfection, making every bite a delight. Highly recommended!
Came across this place while roaming Georgetown. Very attentive service. The food, service, outdoor ambiance was good. Definitely stop here for an Italian cuisine when in the area. Lobster Royal & Spinach Lasagna recommended.
I got gnocchi bolognese and the rest of the party got lobster ravioli. We cleaned the plates. It was an amazing Italian dining experience. Gorgonzola bread is a must try dish. I would go there again to try lasagna, and meatballs.
A wonderful dining experience for a Saturday night out in DC. As authentic as anywhere outside of Italy. Our server was pleasant and attentive- not in-your-face every five minutes, but at the table often enough that we never needed to ask for anything.
The food was amazing. I had the lasagna, wife had a white pizza and our daughter had some type of pasta with seafood. All were delicious!
The atmosphere was fine but this is not a quaint, romantic spot. It was kind of loud in the small indoor dining room, with two TVs tuned to sports channels. We had an early dinner and it wasn't crowded but I could see it filling up around 7pm or so. If the weather is nice the outdoor seating area would be great.
Overall it was a nice evening out with the family.
our party came in here, about 40 minutes before they closed. the place was empty and contrary to the other reviews they were more than happy to seat us.
the service was great, no complaints on that end contrary again to all the other reviews.
The food was also 4 out of five stars!
The reason I’m giving them a four star review rather than a five star is because they had two gentlemen come in who were drunk and seem to be whether they were the owners of employees/owner and came by the bar and we’re just obnoxiously loud for 30 minutes of our meal. they were cursing fighting yelling, as if they didn’t see us eating next to them.
I've guess they changed because I saw multiple people post about the service but all the staff was so friendly and attentive. We had a great experience there. The food was so rich and flavorful. It's also so nice to have some halal Italian in the area. There are very little and this place definitely hits the spot. They have a large drink options for all my wine and liquor people so there's definitely something for everyone. If you're in the Georgetown area definitely check this out.
My family had a great dinner here. The lobster ravioli was my favorite but all the food was delicious! My husband was a big fan of the veal. Both of my kids loved their dishes as well which is a win for any parent. Service was exceptional and we truly felt that our business was valued. We look forward to going backs
Why this little restaurant has a lower score is puzzling. Service was very attentive. I had the gnocchi with Bolognese and it was delicious! My husband has the pasta Bolognese which was equally devine. Crabmeat stuffed mushrooms had good flavor, but could have used a little more crabmeat. Beet salad was small but excellent. We would definitely return!
