Best WLM Reviews
Was out and about in the area and we couldn't pass up an opportunity to go to anglers! Staff was incredible, we had whole belly clams, steamers, and buffalo chicken tenders! The best chocolate pie for dessert adult beverages were also served! Just enough, great price!
Found this place as a slight detour on the way up to Acadia. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, the servings were big, and there was a special for 2 lobster rolls. All the food was delicious, especially the lobster rolls in butter (thanks to a tip from another review, we knew we had to ask for this as the usual is mayo-based).
Very down to earth and welcoming restaurant. The food is simple and delicious. Our waitress Rosie was awesome and friendly. She was extremely sweet and made us feel at home. If I lived closer, I would be here all the time so I could try everything in the menu.
Delicious haddock and scallops. Grapnut custard was amazing. Had a lobster roll and onion rings (super yummy) a couple of days ago...kinda like this place????. Service/waitstaff is really kind, attentive, helpful, and professional. The atmosphere is good. Parking is more than adequate. Reasonable prices. I'll definitely return.
We have eaten here several times over the years. Always had excellent food at reasonable prices. We went for my birthday around 2:00pm. Place was empty possibly 5 tables if that. Waitress was ok but certainly not Rosie who we normally have. They had a ton of additional items that were not included on the menu, unfortunately our waitress never mentioned one of them. We saw it when we paid our bill. Anglers has a lot of dishes but 98% are deep fried. We had the lobster roll sandwich with sweet potato fries, and broiled haddock with scallops. Lobster roll was fantastic, lots of lobster. The haddock and scallops were very disappointing. First off they weren’t even whole scallops but cut up pieces. Small bowl with three and a half scallops cut up with a cracker crumbs on the top.Piece of haddock was a single piece that barely covered the inside of the plate. Actually looked like a kids meal or a $15 senior plate. Both of these dishes were at “Market prices” lobster sandwich was $29.99 and the broiled hodock and scallops were $24.99. Hopefully it was an off day because with a glass of wine totaled at $69. We aren’t ready to write it off completely but it’s pricy and portions are small.
I ordered the Angler Plater, it came with baby shrimp and a good amount of them, scallops they were fried just right they were juicy and tasty. Just the right amount of seasoning, the dish came with a nice giant piece of haddock that was fried and cooked perfectly had it could’ve used a little more seasoning. It was a little on the bland side, the fried clams were delicious. I highly recommend this place because overall it was a wonderful dish. I ordered the Caesar salad and sweet potato fries, the fries were quite good. The salad was nice.
We had fish and chips. Mine had the best onion rings I've had in a long time. My husband's plate had fries. Both plates had huge pieces of fish that were seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were on vacation and just passing through. If we lived in the area, this would definitely be our favorite place. Side note; they had plenty of parking, even for larger vehicles.
Fantastic, personable service two days in a row! Parties of 3 and 4 were handled flawlessly but they are capable of much larger groups. Food is always delicious.
UPDATE 1/30/24
Always just the most delightful food served by gracious and friendly people - today we had the lovely Rita helping with our menu selections, she was awesome, the food was great (of course!)!
