I go here 2x a week and the food is excellent every time & the lady Andrea who takes orders In the front never misses a beat , the food is always fresh and delicious ????!!!
Yeah food so bad I forgot what I ordered but I took two bites woke up the next morning with the meanest stomach ache ever the meat looks old mac and cheese has no flavor at all just Grease and cheese spent about $20 on this meal can't return it can't get a refund is there another soul food place cuz this ain't it
I’ve supported this place since I found the first one years ago on I believe it either St Clair or Superior. The inconsistency of the peach cobbler as well as some of the other items have been very disappointing lately. This literally taste like baby food with a weird aftertaste. I dug around in it to see if there would be any crust and found nothing. No crust in it whatsoever like it used to be, just peaches and goo. Please get back to how it used to be.
When I came in, I was in line behind someone who seemed to know the cashier. They were laughing and enjoying each other's company.
When it came time for me to place my order, I was treated just the same!
I think I just met the most charming and friendly person I've ever met in my whole life!
The customers who came after me were also welcomed just as well.
The food was excellent, the decor is dressed down, but the woman behind the counter could make any business work.
I got the smothered chicken with pinto beans, collard greens, and a corn muffin. The takeout came on time and was packaged neatly so as not to make a mess. The food itself was delicious and savory, and the chicken juices paired really well with the corn muffin. I will absolutely be returning.
I ordered a chicken wing meal with sweet potatoes and macaroni and a corn muffin. It was DISGUSTING! The worst soul food I have EVER had. Tasteless! Nothing tasted like anything. I don’t know how this place ia still in business. The WORST and I will spread the word of this so called establishment
I always wanted to try this place.The Mac and cheese wasn't seasoned.The yams were not sweet and needed to stay in the oven a little longer. The meatloaf was decent.The Red Kool-aid was delicious.( Not pictured)The Peach cobbler was mediocre.(Not pictured)My first experience is okay.I Won't be returning simply because nothing stood out to me. I've tried a couple different soul food places and get disappointed every time.I'm convinced If I want soul food I'll have to make it myself. The cashier was friendly. First of all, they pig feet taste like my Mother's, the Greens Bomb, the Pinto beans fire, Mac an cheese amazing, I'm kinda mad my daughter took me, cause I'm bouta gain all my weight back, and be broke, already went Twice this week, so so so so Gooood... see you Friday ????
