Soul food at its finest!! The catfish was perfectly cooked, moist and crispy. The chicken was very well seasoned. I love the atmosphere and music. The service was lively and entertaining. I tip to the max! Love every moment here.
Best soul food I’ve had in Cleveland. Went several times. They give enough to save some for later if you have the will not to eat it all in one sitting lol
I drive over an hour to get this food. It hits the spot every time! Their oxtails are amazing and their chicken and gravy is pretty good too. I absolutely love their caramel cake. May not get it every time but when you get it, it’s gonna be good!
Mac and cheese is like noodles with clumps of cheese in it, cornbread was dry, the cabbage was a salty, but the chicken was okay. The best thing was... the BBQ Sauce. Maybe I went on a bad day, who knows. The customer service is great, and the atmosphere isn't bad. My mac and cheese had a decent amount of burnt cheese in it, so it tasted burnt all around, plus it could be better. So we're just out here making mac and cheese that SEPARATES from the noodles. I wouldn't recommend the mac to anyone, to be honest. I'm not satisfied with this. I've been craving some good ol' soul food for 2 weeks and said, "Hey. What not!?" Well, now I know. You should only eat here if you want to waste your money. I repeat: ONLY GO HERE IF YOU LIKE WASTING YOUR MONEY!!

This food is LEGIT soul!! I said “I don’t know where Angie’s from, but I’d bet my check it’s not Ohio and I was correct. Her mama taught her how to cook southern fare! I’m from Kentucky, I didn’t think I could get authentic southern food in Northern Ohio but it’s here. That catfish was clean & domestic…. So delicious! Black eyed peas & greens were perfect. They told me to try Mac n cheese next time - I might be back tomorrow. Loved it.
I'm originally from Columbus but currently live in Texas. I went home to visit, and my aunt and I decided to go to Cleveland. Angie's was recommended by a family member who lived in Cleveland.
I got the meatloaf, greens, and sweet potatoes. My aunt got the salmon croquettes, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Overall, the food was good. I took 1 star off because her croquettes were a little overcooked. We just assumed they didn't get orders placed often for that item.
We also got the drinks in the jar. I took mine home and added vodka!
Visiting Cleveland. Looking for good food around and I found this restaurant. Yuuuummmm....Flavors we're dancing in my mouth! I've ordered the smothered pork chops with collard greens and candied yams. Perfect combo. Love the food. I didn't even need a knife for my pork chop. So tender.
