We happened by Angie’s and so glad we did! For a Wednesday it was still busy but everyone was getting sat and their food quickly. The coffee was great! We had eggs, bacon, grits, waffle, burger and fried green tomatoes! Everything was so delicious. Highly recommend.
Great service and hospitality. Place was very busy but we were able to get a table immediately. Food came out very quickly shortly after we ordered. Coffee was very good (much better than the watered-down, weak coffee provided in the higher-end restaurants). Will definitely return in the future and recommend them. Support our local businesses ;)
Classic vintage diner feel, spread out tables but small area. Good southern comfort food, but not your upscale breakfast place. Is a good option for a simple and filling tasty breakfast. Had the French toast. It was an at home feel meal. Partner had biscuit and gravy omelet, which was great! Banana pudding is also amazing. Was a free desert.
Absolute best experience while I was in NC.
The food is great, but the people put this place over the top. They are friendly and genuine. They close at 12, but they were still accepting people that came in at 12:40, telling them not to rush. I was in awe! Coming from the west I am used to places turning people away before their closing time.
The food was very fresh, tasty, well priced and large servings.
It was packed the entire time, and they deserve it.
I will be back on my next trip, and hope to try lunch out also!
Long story short, I Rarely post a Review for a restaurant, but this was just ridiculous.
When I called to place my order (a country ham on toast, with one over-hard egg, and add light mayonnaise), I was quoted $6.99 plus tax. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, the cashier said that it would be $10.75. When asked about the price difference, she said that I must’ve misunderstood when I ordered. I told her that I completely understood the price quoted over the phone; while simultaneously, the young lady that took my order chimed in and told the cashier the price ($6.99) is what was given to her and showed her the order ticket. The cashier then insisted that I misunderstood, and the correct price was almost $11.00. I gave the cashier $11 and left with the sandwich simply because I did order it.
The price I paid for the insults from the cashier, that disappointing sandwich, and two prior bad experiences (both for the quality of the food) are the reasons I will not be dining or suggest anyone else to dine at “Angie’s Restaurant.”
I had the very best waitress named Danielle! She was amazing on point with everything! Just a beautiful presence, she recommended Fried Green Tomatoes with Homemade ranch…Omgoodness!???? The best Fried green tomates I’ve ever had! Then the breakfast sooooo good! I had it with Corned Beef hash! Yummmmmm period!
Very, very friendly staff. Fantastic Service. Great Food. Home to many regulars. I will definitely return.
Angie's is a wonderful local restaurant with amazing customer service and delicious food. Angie's has good quality ingredients that make every bite a delight in your mouth. 12/10 highly recommend
