Best WLM Reviews

What a great concept! I saw this place from the road and just had to stop. It’s drivethru only. They have a good selection of seafood . We went with the chilled lobster roll. Got fries and a drink. All for $27 dollars. The lobster was packed on and had good flavor. The fries were good too. Service was fast! Pay by credit card or bank card only. There were 3 or 4 spots where you could park if you wanted to eat there.
Maine lobster at Angie's Lobster in Tempe, AZ! They make it affordable with focusing on efficiency. With buying lobster right off the boats and eliminating third parties where they can. They have an extensive menu but I recommend the Warm Lobster Roll combo that comes with fries and butter. All you need to do is order with the cashier, find a seat and find spray and towels to clean the table and chairs, and pick up order when called. The orders are all packed up paper bags. The restaurant isn't large and had about 5 tables and seats; no fuss or muss. The prices is very reasonable and the quality is outstanding! Nothing was artificial or filler (eg. shrimp, crab) - all lobster. The bread used is buttery and soft brioche and it paired so well with the lobster overload as I picked up my lobster roll, the lobster tail fell off and hit it the floor. :( I really don't know why Angie's Lobster stay in business but when I visit Arizona, this will always be on 'must come back' list.
I have been a couple times in the past and overall I liked the food, especially for the value. Nothing that was great, but seemed quality for the cost.
I wanted to try the new breakfast burrito so I ordered on DoorDash for pickup. There was no post in line when I got there and it was handed to me within a minute of arriving. No bag, just the burrito which I thought was odd but I was OK with it.
Got to work, opened it up, and they left the burrito on the grill way too long. Visibly burnt. I thought maybe this was the style so I took a bit, but the tortilla was crumbling in my hand. The inside of the burrito was good (potatoes also looked like they were left too long on one side) but the burnt tortilla killed it.
Maybe it was a one off. I will try them again and see if I get the same and update the review.
Edit: Came back a couple more times and it has been much better, but seems like one of their presses are hotter on one side than the other. As long as it doesn’t get burnt like the first, I think they are solid.
Update: The employee who does the voice for ordering is always so nice and efficient when they are there. Definitely deserves promotion! I think overall they have improved in the short amount of time we've come back. I wanted to note that the prices for lobster rolls are going insane but I understand why. Prices are still great for many of the other dishes. Beats out many other fast food places but with better ingredients.
We have to come during certain hours of the day because the lines get super long, and you can get stuck there for a while. We do like coming here but had some issues since they started incorporating more food. They now start making us park in front to wait for our food even after waiting a while. I did have issues with ordering double chicken, and when I sent this to the team, they just said they disagreed with me but still sent a gift card, which is not easy to use. It's kind of a weird flex to say you're wrong, but here. The food is still pretty good overall once you get it. I think if I had to make a suggestion for food handling, it would be to not hand the drinks with the same gloves you handle food. We've had a few times where there was food on our drinks. Pretty gross.
Pathetically small portion with absolutely hammered precooked lobster bits. $15 per person for what amounts to nothing worthwhile. Look at the pictures I took of the sandwich, it was literally only twice as large as the head of a fork. Fork shown for scale. Sauce was also incredibly bland and unimaginative.
I will never come back, this "concept restaurant" as the website puts it it's not here to provide good food. It is purely here to extract maximum profit.
I was served RAW steak tonight. I DIDNT ask for rare or even medium rare when ordering.
How can I eat this?
How is this acceptable to go out the window to customers?
Do the people working have food handlers cards? My streak tonight suggests they dont?
So I don't like seafood but everyone else in this world happens to like it..so my wife says this place is pretty impressive... Well she also thinks she some kind of seafood snob after she met my parents in Alaska.. well everyone else I ask about this place just raves about it as well. Especially for the price! I got lunch for 3 different dealers of mine and the 3 meals came out to almost $40 not bad at all!
Pickup window experience is horrible. Being ignored for 5-10 minutes before anyone even opens the window is incredibly frustrating.
Still waiting….
Update: The door bell is broken, employees can’t see out, they’re telling me I should be knocking on the window. My food has been ready for 10 minutes, sitting there dying. This is crazy Angie’s….
