Best WLM Reviews

The best Italian food. Do not hesitate. Come in and dine. The food is amazing. Every dish my group ordered was outstanding. I will definitely be back. Our waitress Tegan was the sweetest and most professional.
Angels Italian Restaurant is located adjacent to the Visitor's Center on the Central Avenue Strip downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas. It's small and quaint with authentic Italian recipes. Being a small family owned business, they elected to close their doors, sometime during Covid, and recently reopened February of this year. If you're into authentic cuisine, this is your speed. They lost the majority of their original staff while closed and only have 2 original employees (plus the owner) currently on staff. Unfortunately, the effects of that seem to have cost them a ???? in this review. The wait staff was friendly but slow to attend to our needs or requests. I'd think this issue could be resolved with training and a little more attention to detail. My table ordered garlic bread, seafood pizza, carrot cake, and tiramisu. The wines have always been the best there, but no wine this trip. Every time visiting Angels, it's always easy to strike up a chat with other patrons traveling from various states and countries ????.
The garlic bread is fresh and warm, escorted by tiny glass jugs of oil and vinegar each. The garlic bread is like that old Pringles' saying, "betcha can't eat just one" ????. The seafood pizza had a thin, crisp crust with alfredo sauce, medley toppings of your choice, and loaded with shrimp and crab meat ????. The wood burning oven it was heated in is pictured.
The desserts were just as good. I prefer my carrot cake topped with nuts, though. They also offer outdoor seating for those times of the day when the weather is just right for it. When visiting Hot Springs, stop by Angels and take your time there tasting ????
Cynthia was our waitress and the perfect waitress at that. Didn’t overwhelm us and didn’t ignore us. Definitely knew what she was doing. And she wasn’t alone, everyone seemed friendly and helpful. Personally the bolognese could have had a little more flavor but nothing a little red pepper couldn’t help with. Overall cute, cozy little place. :)
Really nice Italian food great staff with a wonderful personality. Food is always hot and fresh.
If your looking for really good Italian food in downtown Hot Springs, this is the place.
The staff were delightful and very attentative.
The only thing I will point out was that due to the humidity, the tile floors were slick...
But don't let that stop you from enjoying the good eats... highly recommended.
Very nice Italian restaurant with great atmosphere in a beautiful building that is probably full of history in downtown Hot Springs. Service was excellent. Food was wonderful. A Plus Plus. Highly recommend. (Wish I could post pictures of our great food).
Almost DIED due to untrained, inexperienced staff. We stopped here for lunch because it looked nice & smelled good with the brick oven in the front. We arrived during shift change, & the new pizza cook forgot to make our order. Both waitresses reminded him about the pizza, but we were fine with waiting because we had nothing to do for the evening. As time passed & several groups that came after us are & left while we still hadn’t gotten our pizza, I became frustrated & watched the cook make the pizzas waiting on ours. I watched him make a pizza with shrimp on it. He put his gloves in the shrimp container, soaking the shrimp juice all over the table & then immediately put his drippy shrimp hands into the basil & put it on our pizza while shrimp juice dropped on our Margherita chicken pizza. I am highly allergic to shellfish. I immediately got up & told the waitress & cancelled our order.
We waited an hour after being forgotten about just to not get our food because of cross contamination. Had I not been watching, I could & would have died. Will not be coming back.
Visited Hotsprings and tried Angel’s Italian food. It was beyond amazing and flavorful. The crab cakes in the roasted bell pepper sauce was fantastic, they practically melted in your mouth with just the perfect robustness from the sauce. Also had the mushroom ravioli. It was overfilled with mushrooms and taste.
Best part of the experience with the visit was the staff. We got seated upfront next to the pizza makerz he was hilarious, and looked like he enjoyed his job . He smiled and greeted everyone, made jokes with us while we were waiting and just keep the atmosphere so light and free. Our waitress was so friendly, quick and helpful. The chef, while we didn’t meet them, did no disappoint in the quality of food, even with a late night visit and large groups.
Overall Angel’s Italian was a great experience and will be a first recommendation when asked.
