Best WLM Reviews

We had a good experience at Angelo's. The view, obviously, is wonderful and serene. There's a little walkway you can take to enjoy the scenes. If i were warmer out i would have loved to sit on the patio and enjoyed drinks & food but it was a little too chilly for me to be comfortable outside. As far as food goes .. I got the chicken gyro & my husband got the fried fish tacos. The gyro was packed with a ton of chicken red onions & tomato. The tzatziki sauce had a nice flavor, especially on the gyro itself. My husband really enjoyed the fish tacos .. he did have to remove some of the slaw that came on top but he's not a huge fan of slaw in general. Our waitress was bubbly and attentive, no complaints here. ????
Service was very nice but a little slow, considering we were one of three tables in the dining room. The food was excellent. I had the Haddock special and my wife had shrimp and grits. Tom, the manager stopped by and checked on us, which almost never happens anymore at other places. We will definitely be back.
Avoid this place! Terrible food!
I was part of a group of about 10 people who visited this restaurant roughly a month ago, and the experience was awful from start to finish. The food was bad enough in taste for MULTIPLE dishes to be sent back and remade. If it hadn’t resulted in food poisoning for one of our party members this would be comically bad. The following day, party member contacted the restaurant to inform them of the issue and food poisoning and politely requested a partial refund for their individual meal (we all paid separately).
Shockingly, they were told no manager was available and to call back later. When they did, the manager was extremely rude, dismissive, and showed zero concern for the situation—no apology for the food poisoning, no acknowledgment of any problems, just a flat-out refusal to offer any refund or offer to make it right. The manager even had the nerve to suggest that we should’ve brought up the issues while we were still at the restaurant (as if we could have predicted food poisoning!)
When my party member mentioned they would dispute the charge with their credit card, the manager casually responded, “That’s fine, we’ll deal with them.” in a cocky attitude. Unsurprisingly, the dispute was resolved in favor of the cardholder, which makes me think this probably isn’t the first time this restaurant has dealt with such complaints.
The only redeeming part of the experience was our friendly server and good view of the lake, but that doesn’t make up for the poor quality of food and shockingly bad customer service. Save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else.
The food was good and the atmosphere was great. I really enjoyed the pasta in vodka sauce. 3 of us at our table got it and 2 out of the 3 were cold. It was still pretty good even though it was cold. You can't beat the view from the back seating area. We loved that they had outdoor seating. They would have got 5 stars for sure but out server was not very attentive at all which is why we didn't send the cold food back because we were starving after being there for over 40 minutes without placing an order. It took forever for us to put in a drink order and then to just order in general. Even though our pasta was a little cold it was still good. Its definitely a place we will go back to. Just going to make sure we get a different server. Loved the live music and inside they were doing Karaoke. Very cute place.
Wait for food was a bit long, but nothing outrageous. We ate outside during the evening, the view of the lake was nice. Food was good, although husband was upset his medium rare ribeye was well done and potatoes were cold. Fried mushrooms were good. I had the fish and chips which were also good.
First time at Angelo’s and it was amazing. The food was tasty and drinks were coming just in time. Brenna was our server, she was outstanding, took really good care of us, it’s was a perfect end of day after canoeing for a couple of hours.
We will come back for sure, because we loved it !
Thanks Brenna, you really made our day !!!
Beautiful place to enjoy a meal. Food was good except for the hush puppies. They were the worst I ever had. I had catfish and we had a crab dip, both were good. Beer menu was adequate. Service was good.
I understand flies and food. But the amount of flies was unacceptable. Food was substandard over cooked. Service was great. Waitress agreed the flies were out of control. Manager to busy to visit our table. Multiple attempts to reach out to to the manager prior to posting went unanswered. Very disappointed. Used to be the best place ever. Good place to grab a drink and a snack, but not for a sit down meal anymore.
