Pizza was insanely good. Had it for the first time and it's one of the best places in the valley with amazing prices. You can taste the cheese, sauce and crust. All of it has it's own unique flavor profile that combines into something amazing. Sauce is sweeter which is something that I prefer. This is head and shoulders above other pizza places in the valley because the other ones usually have a prime ingredient that is bland or overpowers everything else. This is the perfect blend. Highly recommend.
Great small old school pizza shop. Called ahead since it’s about 2hrs wait for a pie. We got there and it was what I expected busy and with the solid One Bite pizza rating this wasn’t a surprise. They had birch beer on tap so I had that too. Sauce has a perfect blend of sweetness and the pie dekiceredbthe goods!!
Lemme start off by saying wow talk about affordable. I was amazed at how inexpensive four pies and two 2 liter sodas were. The pizza was phenomenal. My contractors were ecstatic, and I can’t wait to come back.
We got there near opening time and there was already a line to get in. Pizza is really good, the regular sauce is pretty sweet on its own, the sweet sauce super sweet (maybe to sweet for most). They do make vegan pizza which is great for people with lactose issues. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Good quick bites. Pizza slices we ordered were given to us cold, granted they were busy but being in a downtown during busy season shouldn’t mean compromised quality. Pizza did taste good and the prices were great for such an area.
Sweet sauce fresh garlic! Keep it simple. You know the place is good when they ONLY do pizza. I truly go out my way for this place. Small seating area, vegetarian friendly
My girlfriend made me drive an hour and a half for this pizza. I was really skeptical about a pizza being worth a long drive like that when there is about 50 in my area alone. Wow worth the drive! The moment I stepped in, the smell of the sweet sauce and fresh ingredients hit me like a truck speeding in snow without breaks. The staff is extremely friendly and absolutely love the smile inside with newspaper clippings and a display of the original Angelo. Now the pizza I had was a pepperoni with the sweet sauce and it was fantastic. The bake was perfect and the sauce to dough to cheese ratio was perfect. They didn’t overdo nor underdo the amount of pepperoni either. Wasn’t overly greasy either! Try this amazing pizza. I think I would drive 8 hours for it… maybe don’t tell my girlfriend though…
Some of the best sweet sauce pizza I've ever had. Definitely a must try if you're in the Wilkes Barre area! Street parking but there are some side roads that you can park on and the street isn't too busy so it isn't bad. But the pizza is totally worth it!
