Best WLM Reviews

I ate dinner at Angelo’s Family Pizza and Pasta on Friday, November 29,2024.
I arrived about an hour before closing. There were a few tables occupied when I arrived. The decor of the restaurant is quite dated and I expected the bench seats in the booth to be worn and uncomfortable, but the one I sat in was very pleasant.
I ordered a cup of the soup of the day (cheeseburger.) it was good. I wouldn’t make a special trip for it but if it were offered I would eat it again.
I ordered two garlic balls. These are basically large dinner rolls drenched in garlic butter. Very good. I would point out that the entrees come with rolls, so you may not want to double up, but the garlicky balls were quite tasty.
For my entree, I was torn. I wanted the shrimp risotto, but I read some reviews and there were a number of detractors. I chose shrimp thermidor. I have had lobster Thermidor many times, but never seen this option.
The shrimp
Was perfectly cooked. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The spinach, tomato, and onion were just right. The sauce was delightful, but extremely rich. The portion was enormous. I ate about 20% of it and enjoyed each bite.
I had cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert. Comparable to a cruise ship dessert. Ok. Nothing special.
My server was Kali. She was kind, helpful, and excellent at her craft.
I enjoyed my dinner and would go back.
Visit Angelo’s Family Pizza and Pasta. Tip like you mean it!
Fabulous food and service. Wandered in on a Friday night with no reservations and were seated right away. Our server Malynda was attentive and friendly. We had THE BEST chicken piccata ever and also yummy cheese stuffed manicotti with homemade dinner rolls. Dinner also includes a cup of soup or a very substantial salad ( homemade Italian dressing). I’m looking forward to trying one of their pizzas! Family owned and very casual dining—very clean with booths lining the walls or table seating. A MUST TRY!
FANTASTIC!
Visited while in town for a car show. Arrived before they closed and they were happy to have us.
Service was fanatic. Yvette was amazing. The food was over the top good. Loved our pizza & baked zita which I ordered. Rolls were awesome.
I would highly recommend this spot and suggest you leave a rating to help others. It’s a nice gem of a spot … and we drove from the Fairgrounds to eat here. ????
Thank you Angelos!!! We had a very large Togo order and it was the best most fresh Togo order I've ever had! Everything was top notch including placing order and pickup! We had everything we needed down to sauces plates and silverware! Thank you Crystal for running such a proficient excellent business! The food is soooo good!!!
We're in SC and decided to support our neighbors in NC after the storm. Roads coming from the SW are all cleared. Picked a pizza place that the locals recommended, did not disappoint! The waitress was very attentive, the salad was fresh, the pizza was hot and delicious. We will be eating here again next time we pass through.
My pizza was subpar and rather mediocre. Staff was decent.
We were visiting the area and after several days of fresh trout, we were pizza hungry! I read some reviews and we decided to try Angelo's. We arrived around 11:30 a.m. I'm glad we were early because we quickly realized Angelo's is a very popular place!
The pizza was delicious, hot, with fresh ingredients! Mom had the child's size fettucine alfredo with chicken, and we also ordered some cheese breadsticks. We ended the meal by sharing a piece of sinfully rich Toll House pie!! Yummy!!
Our server was very attentive and friendly. We are in the Waynesville/Maggie Valley area every year. This will be put on our regular meal rotation!!
Ok.... So the deep-dish pizza ???? is FIRE!!!! ???? The crust is the best I've ever had anywhere, hands down!!!!!! Geeezzzz guys! I need a nap after that.... stuffed. We love Tyree!!! Sorry about the spelling! ????
