Best WLM Reviews
Great streaks and good pasta! Delicious spinach and artichoke dip. If you like cream of mushroom soup, definitely try it here. Wonderfully kind and attentive waitstaff. Pass on the steakhouse chains. Do yourself a favor and eat here instead.
Tonight was the first time ever dining at Angelo's Chop House. It was my father's birthday ????. Food was outstanding overall. Appetizer (spinach and artichoke dip) was the best I ever had. Salad was fresh. Ravioli ???? was mouth watering and had so much flavor in every bite. My dad loved his steak and mother devowered her scallops and soup ????. Drinks were also amazing. You need to stop in and try this high dining establishment. It's a hidden gem in Moneyroe and is by far one of the best restaurants in the world. Our waitress was the best I ever had. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We will definitely be back!!! I can't wait to try the desserts next time. Sadly, we were to stuffed ???? to slide in dessert ???? at the end ...even the birthday boy.
The food was great. I loved the French onion soup and the steak was the best I’ve ever had! It literally melted in my mouth. I’ve NEVER had steak do that before!!!! The amount of parm on the asparagus was laughable and I wish they would have put less but I got it off. The only thing I was confused about is the fact that they say this restaurant is fine dining, so I thought there would be a dress code. But most people here were in causal wear- short and T-shirt. This kind of takes away from the fine dining ambiance.
Unfortunately we will not be back. We’ve passed this place numerous times and decided to try it out for a date night. Photos on their website made it look like a really nice restaurant but once I saw ketchup on the table I knew it wasn’t going to be the greatest. The menu looked great and so did our food when it arrived. I ordered the surf & turf medium well for the filet mignon, received well done :( also the Alaskan King Crab legs that came with my meal were beyond salty and overly fishy, some parts were warm others were cold. my fiancé order the porterhouse medium well it was also over cooked and extremely tough. The bread that was served on the beginning was extremely average. I had the French onion soup and it was very different from any French onion soup I’ve ever had or made, I don’t recommend it. The flaming cheese was average and very small. Our entrees came with a side of pasta. I got the garlic & oil which honestly was the best part of my meal, however my fiancé got the marinara and it was very sweet and not enjoyable. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived but by the time we left we were shocked to see how busy it got. I think if you’re looking for a place to eat fried food or a salad, you may enjoy it. For $180 (including tip) I would not recommend this restaurant for steak or surf & turf :(
Update: Our 1st time here was 3 years ago; we still love it. Our cocktails were perfect, our service was amazing and our food was great. The soup, salad, calamari, escargot, and steaks were all perfect. This has become our date night place with friends! It's just east off 75, exit 15, and easy in and out of.
Place was exceptional. Good customer service and the food was FRESH!.
It has been a while since I had some great quality beef. It literally melt in my mouth.
The oil and garlic pasta tasted amazing, the veggies perfectly cooked, crunchy and full of flavor. And most of all, prices are extremely fair for the quality of the food and service you receive!
First time eating here and was NOT impressed! I was a server and corporate trainer for a restaurant for over 10yrs. So I know good service. The service was adequate at best. Food was mediocre! We had steak and lamp chops. The food was warm. Not hot! Sides were very small! The bread they serve was bland and the butter too sweet. The best part about our whole experience here was watching them bus a table and set it up for the next guest! Because that was fast and impressive! Other than that, I would skip on this mediocre restaurant. Save your money and drive to Toledo and find a better restaurant!
I'm from Texas and I didn't know what a 'Chop House' was but very quick to learn. I really enjoyed my steak, cooked perfectly, great flavor and my Caesar salad was delicious. Now the mashed potatoes and asparagus left a lot to be desired. Thankfully we got dessert and it was more than I expected. I think it was called 7 layers chocolate cake, I could certainly taste the different chocolates. It's a very minor thing but it's a nice touch when you get your salad dressing in a small bowl but when it's served in a tiny to go cup, it seems to lessen the upscale feeling of the restaurant. I'd love to go back and have their Caesar chicken anchovy salad. I'm very glad we tried this Chop House.
