Best WLM Reviews
I think the name has always kept me away, because I thought it was just a pizzeria. This place offers way more than pizza! The outside, like the name, is very understated. When you walk in, you recognize this place is upscale! The music, the lighting, the ambiance was perfect for a nice dinner (inside temp was warm and needed to be cooler, kind of uncomfortable). The service was very good. Our server, Adrian, made very good recommendations and even comped our dessert because it was our first time there. The menu offers a variety of pizzas, pasta, and protein. I chose the linguine with clams and was not disappointed! The serving size was perfect.... actually, it was so good that I wanted more! I HIGHLY recommend this place. Outdoor seating is also available, where you can enjoy the cool night air.
Loved the ambience and service.
We ordered
Spinach and Ricotta Raviolo - 3.5, the quantity disappointed and I felt spinach flavour was lost in cheese and sauce.
Vegana Pizza - 4/5, one of the best on the menu.
Margherita - 4/5, loved the pizza.
I would recommend to anyone who wants to have a fine dine experience.
Penne Al Pomodoro e Basilico - 3/5
Angelina's Pizzeria in Irvine is incredible! Luca is amazing and makes you feel like you're in Italy. He genuinely cares about his customers and their experience.
The pizza is the best I've ever had – the crust is perfectly crispy, and the toppings are so fresh and flavorful. Luca's passion for great food and customer care shines through every time.
If you want an authentic Italian experience, Angelina's Pizzeria is a must-visit!
I am always hesitant with giving 1 star reviews, but this restaurant is just plain horrendous. The food is bland, limited options, and I am ashamed for them to call themselves an "Italian restaurant". The service sucks so bad, we had to beg for more water. Rude servers as well, as they ask me "go to to the bar and ask for more water". Not to mention, they already selected the tip amount for us, not allowing us to change the amount when we are deeply disappointed with the service. The pasta is bland, and even an Olive Garden has better pasta. Will not return.
Nice evening to sit on the patio. Steve was great - helpful but not pushy. The Saporita pizza and side salad were both wonderful!
We are on the way to LAX and chose this place for dinner. It’s pretty beautiful place for nice meal. We sat at the bar and ordered one pizza, one appetizer and one dessert. The pizza is fine, not amazing, but fairly good. Brussel sprouts are delicious, but I only see it on happy hour menu. Mini cannoli is our dessert, it is yummy, but impressed me too much. But here’s atmosphere and service is great! Our bartender is friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a good experience.
We went for OC restaurant week. We enjoyed the flavors and presentation of the food. Highly recommend the Polipo Salad and Caprese al Pesto. The margerita pizza was great but would of preferred a bit more cheese. The sea bass was incredibly soft and tasty. The desserts were also delicious but on the smaller side so we ended up getting two. The service couldn't been better as we had to ask twice for water before it was brought to us.
Plenty of parking in this plaza which is a plus.
We live on the East Coast....after many years of trying to find a pizza comparable in California to back home ..we have to say Angelina's nailed it!! Will definitely return.
