My favorite local Tex-Mex dive spot. Can’t beat the prices, service and food. The lunch specials are such a great value! Their tortilla soup is my favorite- so fresh and packed full of flavor.
I LOVE Angelinas, and recently took my husband for his first time there. We love Mexican food, and Angelinas is a hard restaurant to beat in terms of authentic, delicious, well-priced food, as well as portion sizes! Staff were attentive and friendly, and I'm happy to say that Angelina's is a forever favorite of ours! (We got the flautita plate as an appetizer, and then the milanesa and the Angelinas Fajita plate)
This place never disappoints. Great for family dinner or date night. They have amazing service all around. Highly recommend the guac and taco salad! Flautas are always a great go-to. They have a delicious fried ice-cream that you need to try if you have the room! The drinks are huge and at a great price. You get a lot of food for your money which is always important!
I'd give it 4.5 if I could. The food was delicious, and the wait staff super nice and kind. I was saddened that a place that could look amazing was just a little dumpy. There were places used as storage covering beautifil decorations, the bathrooms also need lots of attention. It looks like they were built in the 70s and they've been just improving minimally as time has gone on. There's old yellow tile everywhere that looks from that era. I wish this place looked amazing. Sadly I wouldn't feel proud about my heritage taking friends here. I might get take out, rhough, because the food was delicious. Also, the prices were low. I ate a soup and salad with extra chicken for under $20 including 20% tip and taxes. I'd pay more to see their bathrooms fixed and have the place cleaned up, for sure. All and all a good experience though.
The service, food and atmosphere is great!! They have even had 2023 Super Bowl on!!! Go 49ers 2024 Super Bowl is the mission!!!
Heard good things about this place in the various local food groups, and it's always packed when I drive by, so we decided to try it out on a miserably rainy Thursday evening. Fast, friendly, and attentive service, the ambiance is pretty much what you'd expect for a solid Tex Mex restaurant, and the food was great! We also partook of the happy hour drink specials and were not disappointed.
Wife and I just decided to split one of their appetizer platters -- the one with all the chicken stuff. Somewhat comically, one of the two chicken jalapeño poppers was completely devoid of filling (it was the right size and shape so clearly the filling must have seeped out during deep-frying). I notified our server and she swiftly replaced it with not one but TWO extra poppers (one chicken, one cheese). Hooray!
Wife decided she needed more protein and we ordered the cóctel de camarónes and you need to understand that this was always the dish her dad would make her when she was younger and she needed cheering up so it's near and dear to her heart. It is no small praise to indicate that it met with her approval.
Chips were good. Salsa was quite tasty, though more liquid than solid. Nothing wrong than that; just observing.
They also gave us a couple sweetened coffee shots at the end of our meal. Neat!
Also, there was an abuelita serving the table next to us, unapologetically forcing some Español out of the exceedingly white family in the table next to us and calling them mijo and mija and while our server was great, I've never had server-envy more in my entire life. Next time, Angelina's. Next time.
Anyway, do yourself a favor and check out Angelina's. Good food, good drinks, good times.
Great Tex-Mex food at a great price. The staff are simply wonderful and will make you feel at home. I love their combination fajitas. Their lunch special is also great. My favorite restaurant in Lewisville, Texas.
The best food and service ever! I moved out of the area and when I can I go back to Angelina’s and my favorite waitress is still there and she remembers me every time. Such a great restaurant!
