The Angelika Theater in Dallas is a fantastic spot for movie enthusiasts, offering not only a great selection of films but also unique pre-screening opportunities for upcoming movies and TV series. It's a perfect place to catch exclusive early showings and experience a vibrant atmosphere. Be sure to check out their upcoming movie schedule for a diverse range of films you won’t want to miss!
Was hoping to go and enjoy Wicked in Dallas because it was the one of the many places that had availability but the movie quality was terrible. I could see the lines in the projection, during dark and light scenes the colors looked over/under exposed, and the sound looked like it came from PA systems in schools. Additionally, the seats were old and the theater had an old smell to it (I would say urine but that’s a bit extreme. I can’t confirm or deny that).
It is in a great location of Dallas but the quality of the film presentation was underwhelming. My friend and I made it through the first 20 minutes before we ended up leaving. Waste of $35.
If you’re looking to see a new movie or movie of high quality. Save your money and go to a different theater. If you’re just looking to see a movie and don’t mind quality… this is the place for you.
Love this theater! They show a great mix of big blockbusters and indie movies that most other theaters aren’t showing, plus some cool special events and older movies. I’ve never had any bad experiences here with people being on their phones, talking during the movie, or bringing rowdy kids to r rated movies. The concessions are great too, always enjoy their popcorn and they have some delicious cafe-style pizzas and drinks too. Would highly recommend the Angelika for anyone who wants a great movie theater experience
What a gem! It has been a while since our last visit. I forgot how wonderfully chic this cinema is and what an Interesting line-up of movies they have. Really nice staff. Easy parking. Great choice of restaurants all within walking distance. Perfect date night venue.
Really love the theater itself but their concession staff is just downright rude. I ordered combo, nachos, & a water. They did not give me the water. So I let them know before leaving & they said I had to get back in line. The line was not even that long. Absolute foolishness. Other worker came in she asked other one if I ordered water. She said no. Obviously she did not hear me.
Very friendly staff. Clean, good sound system, coffee shop downstairs, free popcorn on your b-d and half price on Tuesday for members! They also offer feee movie screening for members.
First time coming here and I enjoyed it so much! The theater is outdated on the seats as they really show the age of them but still comfortable. Employees are super nice and give quick service. No wait it was not crowed at all Which was the best part! They have a Cafe inside when you walk in and they Have the concession stand upstairs.
