The food was okay - 5/10, but I really enjoyed the chocolate croissant.
Coffee, caramel iced latter - 5/10. Too milky and the espresso wasn’t strong to my liking. Overall a okay place to go if you’re around here.
The people at the front were great and the restaurant itself is super clean!
The other reviews were right—since this establishment went under new management things have sadly changed for the worse. They are now known as “Serenity Cafe” though there is no new signage on the store front. We ordered our food and waited for quite a while before the servers told us that one of our orders was not available. We decided to just leave because we did not want to wait anymore. In addition the water glasses they gave us appeared to be dirty and the water tasted off. Some employees were sitting in the customer seats, and after we were told one order wasn’t available, I noticed the man who was sitting behind us almost the whole time was the cook in the kitchen. Was the completed order done properly with all that time he wasn’t in the kitchen? I didn’t want to find out.

We've been going to Angelica's for a long time and it has recently switched owners. This is according to the staff person that I spoke to after having to complain about how bad the service was that we received today.
The first sign that things were wrong was the strawberry milkshake. It is usually the highlight to the start of a fun meal. It is a part of our usual order. I don't expect them to remember it but I do hope that it will be as good as we remember. It wasn't.
Strike One.
After ordering our respective beverages and then the meal, we wait. Normally the wait isn't long but for some reason the staff seemed to be circling each other like negative ions. We weren't in a rush this time so we didn't mind but when they finally brought the meals they didn't bring utensils. After a wait, they bring over some they only bring one place setting not two. I'm not a stickler for the type of silverware but to bring two steak-knives a spoon and no fork? Should I have to ask for a fork and then have to ask for another set so that the both us can eat our meal?
Strike Two.
As we are wrapping up our non stellar meal, we asked for some water. The glasses come out with white stains on rim of the cup. This is when we start to recount how bad the service has been and that it has only gotten worse.
Strike Three
When the clean cups come out by the fourth different wait staff we had the displeasure of being served by, I decide to finally voice my concerns to this person. They apologized and explained that they have new owners and new staff members. Sounds like an excuse not a justification for the bad service.
This is a shame.
We don't come here for the stellar meals. Sadly the meals weren't epic in the past but the milkshakes were pretty good. While I don't expect diner food to be three Michelin stars, I do return to places that have good meals and good service. Call me a snob.
I feel inclined to share the fourth example the solidified my decision to post this review.
After getting the check, (thankfully with the correct items on it) we were then rushed out. While it wasn't done rudely, I find it tragic that they were rushing us out to provide bad service to the next group.
It is more likely that I won't return here. Unfortunate, because the milkshakes were that good.
I literally have just left this place. I came in simply ordered a breakfast protein wrap and a crepe. 3 customers walked after me and all got their food but me. I kept waiting for 45 minuted and didn’t get my food. The service is the worst the pregnant server has a very bad attitude and service. I highly recommend going elsewhere for a better service and food.
Stopped in under New Management. Same staff, same menu. only discernible difference is new ownership, means now using halal meat. Otherwise still a very solid experience. Would recommend continuing to go here
This is a great little coffee shop but the food Is a little sub par. The breakfast was ok, the Cuban sandwhich was honestly quite disgusting dont order it. The tres leche cake taste like cake dipped in milk but there ice cream Sunday was pretty emaculate. There Chilli cheese dog was wierd and had an egg on top of it. Their Eggs Benedict was pretty normal. All in all the service was great and I liked it here but whatever you order keep it simple. There's parking on the street with meters but if you have some patience you can find free parking up the side blocks.
I have been to this restaurant several times and the coffee is amazing. The food is amazing. The service timely, which for me is amazing. I found the place by accident and I’m glad.
After some disappointing deliveries I tried eating at the restaurant instead. And that made all the difference! The service and food is incredible. This is the perfect post-heavy drinking hangover cure diner spot. Only thing that needs improving is delivery -- the quality of the food is not as good when ordering delivery.
