After searching for a perfect burrito place in the Chicago area, I found this place on Google. I was looking for something similar to the amazing burritos I had during my California road trip.
This is THE place me and my husband drive to 30+ minutes when we crave good food that will make us feel guilty and leave us very satisfied every time.
What I love most about it is the consistency you don’t usually find at this sort of place. We went in many times and it display not disappoint once.
Get the California Steak Burrito — you won’t regret it!
Amazing burritos, super huge and cheap. Very generous with the fillings, I appreciate. Great flavor throughout, plus it doesn't get soggy! I recommend the chicken burrito. If you add rice, they put a lot of rice in there, but there's still a lot of meat. Do note that sometimes the fillings are not super evenly distributed, but you probably won't care (I didn't) because it tastes so good.
I would’t recommend the tamales. The quesadillas are decent. Burritos are the best here though.
I walked past this place a few times over the last few weeks and told myself I’d try it asap. There’s something about spots like this that scream “try me bc I’m def better than most of the other restaurants around me”. I’m glad I tried it because the food was very rich in flavor, and price was amazing for what you get. Meat was tender and lots of great options to choose from on the menu.

I gave this restaurant 5 stars. I believe it’s a 5 star restaurant based on the merit given above. However, I feel it’s necessary to add that I got very sick almost immediately after finishing my steak California style burrito. Now the reason I didn’t start the review with this is because me getting sick could be due to numerous factors, such as what I ate for lunch earlier in the day that may not have sat well with the contents in the burrito. I’m not sure if it’s the meat that made me sick, or the fries inside the burrito. Lots of external factors to consider - so I’m not blaming this restaurant for getting me sick because I don’t know if that’s fair. But I did get sick and throw up all the food. This is the first time in my life that’s ever happened to me and I don’t deal with any allergies either. My friend had a few steak tacos and he did not get sick.
I ordered a few things. Veggie quesadilla was bland. Chile relleno taco was about the same. Had way too much batter coating. Salsa doesn't really have any heat. And the dinner plate I got had double beans instead of rice and beans. The chille rellenos on my dinner plate also had way too much batter coating and there was like a smidgen of cheese in it.
Have you tasted ecstasy? It is called the “shrimp California style burrito” located in the bottom left area of the menu in the building. Believe me when I say it will change your life.

A little pricey, but worth it. California burrito with rice, beans, horchata. All very good. Salsas were good as well. One minor thing is the spices on the chicken tasted sweet. Seems to be a regular thing around chicago mexican food, but i'm still looking for a southwest style chicken burrito.
