Best WLM Reviews
I loved the vibes here. The music is old-school good vibes with a tad bit of newer r&b. Folks were dancing in their seats having a grand time. The wait was 30 minutes for a table of two, but the food was worth it. I'll definitely be back... hopefully at a discount considering I charge for reviews but couldn't resist showing love this this wonderful establishment
Angel of Harlem was a nice brunch vibe on a Sunday. We were able to quickly get a table outside. Drinks were right on point. I ordered a mango passion fruit frozen daiquiri and shrimp and grits & my friend ordered the French toast. The shrimp & grits although a tad oily were good. The shrimp were large and flavorful and the grits the perfect consistency.
This place has one of the best brunch parties & variety of djs. Such a hype spot! The food is pretty basic but not terrible. The service was pretty great considering that there was a party happening at the same time.
I wish there was more space for dancing. But there is ample space at the bar for you to grab a seat. The watermelon froze is lovely & refreshing.
The food had a beautiful presentation. The beef patty was great, and the crusted salmon was a little oily but not disappointing. The braised beef was very tender but had a weird sweet sauce that got in the way of making it an enjoyable meal. I usually tip 20%, but the restaurant adding a 20% tip automatically to the bill for two people seemed a little presumptuous. Maybe that was on the menu in fine print, and I missed it.
Very very good food! Best chicken n waffle I've had in a long time! Just FYI- they charge you $14 for the sparkler on your dessert if it's your birthday. I've never had this happen. Disappointing. Otherwise. 5 stars!
Love love loved my experience at Angel of Harlem. The ambiance is such a cool vibe. Hip but not trendy and niche cause they've been around for a while. The music is always good, but on this Sunday night there was a dj on the ones and twos. Mix of old-school and new school trends. Great location on the corner of FDB and 122. Outdoor and indoor seating. Now for the food , hot fresh and delicious. I ate the Guava BBQ wings that came with thinly sliced plantain chips. Taste better than the chips sold at the bodega. The side of spinach was seasoned well and had a slight kick from chillies pepper flakes. Yummy. Wings were cooed all the way through and the sauce is bomb. My mate got a side of Mac and cheese and the lemon butter garlic chicken entree. That Mac and cheese was so gooey and moist. The cheese is stringy and hot. 5 stars for that. His entree came with mashed potatoes and spinach. They didn't skimp on the meal size either. Must go, stop reading and GO!
And follow me so I can continue to gi e you the tea on the eats.
Angel of Harlem has a unique concept that combines good music, delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere, and excellent customer service. All in one place emerged in a great experience.
This is a must go place in Harlem. Especially for brunch. I highly recommend it!
My favorites on the menu are: shrimps and grids, calamaries, and nachos. And on the drink menu is the spicy margarita ???? ????
I'm definitely coming back for more...
Popular spot to hangout on a Sunday afternoon. A bit loud, the DJ spun some good songs. Virgin colada was excellent. Wings were tasty. People taking pictures or getting their photos taken. Overall a great experience
