Loved how each room is so colorful. We have stayed in Blue and Yellow. We plan to return in November to stay in a Green Room. Everything we did: dine, visit 3 art galleries and a show at the Fabulous Fox were all within walking distance. The view from our room included the Arch in the background. The bed was very comfortable and the Roof top Arts Bar was our favorite place to end the evening. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is it. Enjoy, I have no doubt that you will.
This is a great location to be near The Fabulous Fox and Powell Hall. The art work is really interesting and the staff were all very friendly. We had a blue room and the design was nice, the bed was good and the bathroom was very, very nice. The rooftop bar had a great view and a good selection of quality bourbon with a super charcuterie board. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.
Fantastic staff!!!!! I can not say enough. How absolutely wonderful the staff is.
They are so kind and courteous and great to talk to. I go for business and we'll go back every single time. The rooms are the cleanest. I've ever seen hotel rooms and the staff are kind and personable. And I can not suggest enough how amazing the rooftop bar is looking over the skyline, talking to some of the best people in Saint Louis. Also, there is art everywhere, and they have art shows that you can join when they open new exhibitions. Ten out of ten highly recommend.
I liked the concept of this hotel, being able to choose a room based on vibe and color. I selected the green room, and it was exactly as promised - very green! Everything was clean and had what I needed. ||Although staff was super friendly, I did have housekeeping loudly knocking on my door early in the morning and then almost enter while I was still in bed. I can’t remember if there were any “do not disturb” signs to hang, or if I had one up and they ignored it, but either way it feels like an avoidable awkward situation. ||The Art Bar views are nice, and I enjoyed my drink. I do wish this rooftop area was open all day though, as the rest of the hotel views are not as good. I didn’t get any free drinks as mentioned during my booking on their website. ||This is not necessarily the fault of the hotel, but the restaurant offering breakfast was an overall bad experience for me. Breakfast is not included, but when I inquired I was directed to the attached restaurant located on the first floor. Despite showing up an hour before breakfast ended, I was rushed to finish and leave. I appreciate quick service, so at first I wasn’t bothered by how quickly the waitress returned to take my order, but when she was just as quick to take my plates, give me a to go cup for my coffee, and drop the check, I realized I was being rushed out. I’m not sure why this happened, as again, I was well within the breakfast hours. I think this hotel would be much better off offering a basic, included breakfast on their rooftop instead of partnering with this restaurant. ||Overall, this wasn’t a bad stay, but I was a bit disappointed by the price point in connection to some of its faults.
I like the vibe at this hotel. The rooftop bar had delicious appetizers and a lovely view. It's right next to the Fox theater, which was great. My only recommendation would be to avoid the yellow floor. The color is GHASTLY--like sleeping in a bottle of mustard. We didn't get to choose the color either. Also the breakfast place was closed due to short staff. Our TV didn't work so they moved us to another room. So, that was nice. Overall, would go again.
I loved everything about this hotel, except for the temperature controls in the room. It tends to get quite warm at night, and the older AC unit doesn't allow for precise temperature adjustments. The hotel has a unique, mysterious charm, with each room featuring a different color and a focus on artwork throughout. There’s so much to take in! The highlight, however, was definitely the rooftop bar and lounge, offering stunning views of St. Louis!
For the price we were very disappointed. The room was so small. I mean walk in closet small. We stayed in a blue room on floor 11.
Not a single employee offered any information about the place, such as the restaurant and bar there on site. We had to figure it out. The next morning we went to the front desk to ask where breakfast is served and got a curt "in the commonwealth" not anything about were that even was.
And absolutely no fee amenities.. the bottles of water in the room are $6.00 each and no vending machines on site. They have bottles of soda at the front desk for also $6.00 each.
The room was hot and when we turned the air on every few minutes it would make a loud popping sound.
Kept us up so we had to turn the air off.
Overall would not recommend and definitely never go back.
Angad is a great hotel! We went there for a staycation and enjoyed it. The art displayed throughout the hotel is incredible, and the food at the common wealth is amazing! We stayed in the loft king suite with the claw tub and that was nice. If you’re looking for a great place for a staycation this is the place!
