Found this place close to my hotel. Overall decent breakfast. Fast service and the atmosphere is very family like. Everyone pitched in to help
Second time here. Food is really good. Smoothies are delicious. Highly recommend! Friendly service.
Parking is a big tight though.
A Classic Skirt Steak with veggies and mashed potatoes with BROWN gravey.
I had to send it back because the skirt steak wasnt alone on a plate with the juice and the steak was not a fresh piece of skirt steak not like the picture on the google images.
The veggies were dried up and unfrozen. And there was no graveyard without chicken brother in it.
They kindly gave me a cheeseburger instead and it was perfect.
Thank you. I hope they get the skirt steak dinner right. And all the SOUPS HAVE CHICKEN. Not one soup is made with without chicken . I wish they would get the classics like split pea and beef barley. Like the old days diners used to have
I wanted a delicious breakfast for lunch, so I looked about and located this eatery. Their menu is rather inviting, featuring a lot of classic American breakfast dishes with a hint of Mexican cuisine.
I ordered their Andy's stuffed toast and I paid extra $4 to have it as a combo meal, which included two eggs and two bacon or sausage links. The toast has a pleasant crispness to it in addition to being fluffy. Their handmade cream sauce is the filler in between the toasts. It smelled like citrus and was moderately sweet. A rich, sweet strawberry sauce covered the toast. Because of their tart flavor, the strawberries weren't ripe.
As requested, the eggs were made in a scrambled style. The eggs were moist and airy when scrambled. Lucky, there was black pepper and salt on the table because the eggs were not seasoned. The bacon had a flavorful and fatty texture, although I would have preferred it to be more crispy. They executed a basic dish of bacon and eggs quite well.
I ordered their cookies and cream milkshake, which came in a glass mason jar to display the large Oreo cookie, crushed Oreos, and whipped cream. Although the look is quite tempting, which is why I initially ordered it, the taste was not up to par.
Menu price online is not what they charge once you get to the location. Ordered the meat lovers skillet that says $14.95 on the website. At the desk I was charged $15.95. I told the front clerk, and he didnt seem phased by it. I later doubled checked and showed him the difference. He said he will let the owner know. Cool, I’ll let customers know as well. 12/22/24. Thanks!
Great staff, I didn’t catch any of their names, but they were very kind and helpful. Food came out very quickly and tasted great.
I was visiting family in the area and tried this place based on the reviews and the claim of "best breakfast in Northern Illinois". I had called this place and one other breakfast cafe and the person that answered my call was friendly and helpful.
I dined here with a party of 7. I will say the service was exceptional. Our waiter Christian was attentive, friendly and helpful. We didn't have to wait too long for our food either. I will say that the food quality is about a 3.5/5. Nothing quite stood out, but it was definitely edible. My only comment would be the "hashbrowns" AKA cubed potatoes were overcooked, needed more seasoning, and were a bit on the oily side. Best breakfast? For the cost, service, and atmosphere - maybe. Definitely a better choice than Denny's or IHOP.
This food was terrible. I ordered a monte cristo and it was cold the cheese was not even melted. There was no mayo or anything on it. I had soup that had spilled in my bag because the lid was not on it good enough and it was cold. The waitress was not all that friendly. I will never order here again and if you do check your food. I posted a picture of the sandwich the top is mine the bottom is what they say it looks like
