Best WLM Reviews

This place is great! Their ribs (especially the dry style, which I liked best) were excellent and the atmosphere feels very southern cooking. They don't even have a fryer basket in the joint, which is awesome by me! More authentic that way. The ribs were fall off the bone, delicious, and we'll done. The staff were very friendly, prices are reasonable, and food tasty. What more could you ask for? 10/10 would recommend!
This MD local establishment has graced the Baltimore area with superb BBQ for decades, while providing laid back seamless service. I had the sliced brisket sandwich, Baked Beans, and Mac. The sandwich goes well with the Bama sauce, and the Baked beans were smoky and had diced red and green peppers. The homemade lemonade was also delicious, not too sweet, not to tart.
It's better than Mission BBQ. The pulled pork and Bama sauce was good. Dry ribs were average. Didn’t fall off the
bone. Have a tougher bite. Coleslaw seemed bland. Turkey Q was a bit salty. Mac and cheese was more casserole type than gooey cheese. Corn bread was good but not traditional.
This is a small gem of a place that many locals visit as well as folks that travel just to eat here! It was my first time here and will not be the last by any means. I will stop here and have great, well prepared BBQ style food over fast food any day and at around the same price or maybe less!
Ribs and brisket were really good. Well done with good flavors without being drowned in sauce. Corn bread is great comfort food, really good texture.
Service is quick and to go order packed well. Lady at front is very helpful and real pro.
I have to be very clear about this: these were the best wings I have literally ever had in my life. That's not hyperbole, and I have eaten other wings; but these are the best.
Their sliders are also an awesome deal that I love to keep coming back for. Plenty of delicious meat for a great value.
My one wish is that they'd use less plasticware. At least for dine-in service it would be nice to not use a plastic forks covered in plastic wrap.
Ordered a pit beef sandwich today. There was no option for how it would be prepared, so it came out looking rare to less-than-medium rare. The woman at the counter who took my order had zero personality. Didn't greet me with a "hello" - not that I care, but it was clear she didn't want to be there. The sandwich bun fell apart as soon as I added mayo and horseradish, crumbling in my hands - a good indication that it wasn't fresh. Because of the rawness of the pit beef, it was stringy and tough to tear away from the sandwich. To make matters worse it had pieces of fat through out the sandwich. I've been making my rounds to pit beef places in the Baltimore Metropolitan area and this ranks among the worst - it reminded me of Boog's at Camden Yards, which is another travesty. The sauces were boring and nothing to write home about. I don't know who showed them how to make Carolina Gold sauce but their version tasted like mustard with a huge portion of pepper added. I also ordered French fries and got five large steak cut fries with some sort of seasoning on them which I wasn't fond of. Would not recommend for pit beef.
Everything was grossly over-salted. Such a shame because otherwise it was well seasoned and pleasantly smokey. The salt was so overwhelming, it felt like I couldn't even taste the meat (especially the ribs). Honestly I'm extremely confused by the high reviews - do other people think that the ribs have a normal human amount of salt?
