Best WLM Reviews

1 Star because the food was somewhat edible.
2 Stars because the bathroom was clean.
The curry goat is too small for what it cost. I can guarantee that everywhere else in the DMV gives more. Additionally the goat has way too much curry powder season and tastes VERY grainy. The patty is terrible and dry. The coco bread is really good though! Very soft and tasty. I also bought some ribs and they were not worth the price. Lastly they were very chewy. I would not order from here and try somewhere else. Also check the reviews and see how they respond to customers. That says it all.
Ok. Very wonderful curried goat!! Especially the next day. The next day I was like damn! Quite far away from me, but it was worth the drive. I appreciated the ladies at the register. 2 beautiful queens who make delicious food. Thank you ladies very much! Keep giving love in your dishes.
Saw the place on signature dish and had to visit! Everything was fantastic - not pictured Beef patty (must try if they are not sold out and if you like spicy food), and coco bread. The jerk chicken wings were so good, though they didn’t not want to sell me more than 12 on a fed holiday. The other highlight was the oxtail stew. My partner liked the goat curry. The owner Andrene was so warm welcoming. I highly recommend it! Parking was fairly easy during lunch time.
I'm sorry to have to do this one because the staff was so nice. But I ordered shrimp and lobster something, and my coworker he ordered the stew chicken. Well, the first few bites there was no flavor, then I started to feel sick. So I decided not to eat anymore. I was trying very hard to eat it but everything had the same taste. So I threw 95% of my meal in the trash. My partner threw his meal away as well he said his meal was horrible. But your taste may be better than mine. I have no reason to lie I don't know you guys I found this in Google I'm sorry I give my honest opinion. It's not personal.

FOOD: 5/5. Ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage, a side of plantains and a side of collard greens. Everything was delicious and plenty of food. Jerk sauce was pleasantly spicy.
SERVICE: 5/5. Andrene was super friendly and polite and the food came out quick and hot.
ATMOSPHERE: 5/5. Inside was clean and nicely decorated. Street parking is available but you may have to park a bit away from the restaurant but it’s to be expected for the location.
I was on a work trip with a couple of coworkers and we decided to head over to Andrene’s for dinner. Something told me this was going to be good from previous reviews. I ordered the oxtail and goat combo, rice & peas and cabbage, coco bread and a beef patty. Wow! Oxtail and goat fell off the bone. Rice and peas could not have been better. But the cabbage, I think that was my favorite. The texture was at the point where it just finished cooking and yet had a slight crispness to it, not overcooked where it can get mushy. Portions were plentiful. Service with a smile is always nice too! They had slices of cake for dessert but there was no way I could have even attempted it.
From the warm welcome to the unforgettable flavors, dining at Andrene’s in D.C. was a highlight of my trip from NYC. The jerk chicken wings and mac and cheese left an indelible mark on my taste buds, lingering in my memory even a week later. Meeting Andrene herself was a delightful bonus; her genuine warmth and generosity, including surprising my friend with a birthday cake, added an extra layer of sweetness to the experience. Andrene's is not just a restaurant; it's a haven of delicious food and heartfelt hospitality.
Food was amazing! Fall of the bone oxtail, cheesy macaroni pie, cooked to perfect patties and the drink options were the best pairings. Upon entering you feel a vibe very reminiscent of the caribbean, good music, and even better customer service. My husband & I enjoyed our food and service so much.
