Best WLM Reviews

I am not much of an Italian foodie due to mild flavors and cheese / oil overload. So my rating is biased. The staff is very attentive and the ambience is cozy.
Their tiramisu is the best that I be had so far. Every bowl is made to order and isn't an overload of cream (unlike other places).
My pasta was doused in oil and I didn't care for it. One of the others ordered a spicy pasta and it was indeed spicy. They didn't shy away. That was a pleasant surprise ????
When I arrived, I had high expectations because this restaurant is said to be an authentic Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, I was kinda disappointed with the pasta I ordered. I'm not sure if this is the authentic Italian way of cooking pasta (but I've had pasta in Italy before...). The noodles were very soft and clumped together, making it difficult to discern the texture. The taste was okay, but both flavors I ordered had overly soft noodles.
However, the bread was delicious, with a blend of cheese and green onion flavors that paired really well:)!
The service was also very good too!
(The interior design of this restaurant is like a family-owned small business in Europe! Elegant but in a small scale but misses some renovation)
Excellent "whole in a wall" Italian dining experience. This place is in a strip mall but once you walk inside you feel like you're in Italy. The food is delicious and authentic - especially for the price point. We dined here to "carbo-load" ahead of a race in town and were not disappointed. I had the gnocchi special and my wife had the spinach linguine. We had the fritto misto as an appetizer as well as one of their springtime special salads. We had tiramisu for dessert. The food was tasty, fresh, and filling. The service was also fantastic as our server knew the menu front and back and checked on us to make sure all was well. We highly recommend Andiamo if you're looking for a great meal and dining experience.
Overall, the food did taste good and our waitress was very nice. We made a reservation, it was to celebrate my husbands birthday. While making the reservation, it asked if we are celebrating anything and I did say we are. Well when we got there I expected for it to at least be mentioned, but not even my name for the reservation was mentioned. Not a big deal at all tho, still had good service. It did take a while to be served, and they brought us out someone else’s appetizer. When someone finally looked over at our table I let them know it’s not our appetizer. It was at our table for a little while and instead of taking it back and bringing a fresh appetizer to the correct table, they just took it off our table and gave it to the correct table. It is pricey, and don’t get me wrong the food is delicious, but it is on the higher end. I expected for a different service with those prices. The wine was delicious, and so was the dessert. As mentioned before, our waitress was very nice, and the food was good. But I don’t think I would go back again.
Absolutely wonderful delicious food is served here. This is one of the best Italian Restaurants I've eaten at in a very long time. Our party consisted of six people, we all ordered something different, of course we did share and everything was delicious. The service was good too, our waitress was super knowledgeable of the menue, answering all of our questions where we could understand and she also made great recommendations. If you're ever looking for a great place to dine with a loved one or for a special occasion, this Andiamo is a must. Side note, this restaurant also has a great story of how it all started, which just makes it another reason to visit.
We ordered delivery from here for my office, using LunchDrop. A FULL Insalata Verde D'Inverno salad was ordered, for $16.88. What we received was perhaps a 1/4 or 1/3 size salad with about 6 or 7 tablespoons of lunch in this one. It also looked as if the pepperoni and salami weren't in there. We did find a few tiny little pieces of them upon sifting through this kid-sized little container. it was hard to see the celery, or the orange segments. Perhaps they made an error and sent us a downsized 1/2 salad? No idea. But even so - not going to order delivery of meals from here again, and certainly won't order this salad if we ever go here in person. Upon tasting, it was so-so. If you like a very chopped up salad, lots of dressing, and LOTS of gorganzola cheese, and little of the other ingredients, you might like this.
We so hate to give a review like this, and really want to support good people working hard, so treat this as a review of a poorly done and advertised salad, with the wrong size order delivered.
Insalata Verde D'Inverno
Butter lettuce, gorgonzola, walnuts, dried cranberries, orange segments, celery, chickpeas, pepperoni and salami tossed in a red wine vinaigrette.
LunchDrop does a decent job of getting food here on time, alerting us, etc. This just seemed to be a wrong sized order, and it was not very good.
What a great time we had at Andiamo. It was my wife's birthday and she loves Italian. Being from the east coast we have not found many restaurants here in Austin that compare until last night. The wine, apps, entrees and desserts were top notch. My wife loved a hourglass that was a deco piece on a shelf and she asked to purchase it. They came back and said they would like her to have it for no cost. Amazing people and food was Authentic. Hidden gem in a strip mall. We will be back very soon. Thank you for the great night.
One of my favorite places to bring out of town guests in the past, I had high hopes for its new management and brought my sister and a friend here for her birthday.
Our service was excellent bordering on intuitive, greeting and treating us as old friends. The food exceeded the high expectations I brought from dinners of yore. The kitchen and wait staff have not missed a beat.
We started with the Frito Misto, and excellent house made spinach bread. Our entres were Fettucine Spinachi, Filletto di Manzo Griglia and Vitello Limone. Spinach figured in three of our dishes, rendered irresistibly in each.
We capped off our celebration with a Tiramisu unlike any I've had in this country. It is the actual, authentic heavenly concoction you always hope it will be. This one delivers.
The interior takes diners away from the drab strip mall behind a ThunderCloud Subs shop facing Burnet. I came here for the better part of a decade and then not for the past few years. It is unchanged in almost a Serling way, especially in a city and a particular area of said city that is changing in all directions at once. A memorable meal in a delightful island in time. Long may it live happily with success and deliver as it does.
