Best WLM Reviews

The hotel is located near Bryant Park. The lobby is a little different than most hotels I have stayed at but the staff was very efficient and I was checked in promptly. The room was nice size and clean. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. The only issue that had was not actually an issue, but a dislike. The bathrooom is very dark and has a back wall that is black. I would prefer better lighting to be able to see to do my makeup. Besides that, everything else was very nice. We even ate at the bar/restauraunt and the food and drinks were great. The bartenders and staff were exceptional.
Cleavon, Sheerab, DJ, Sasha, and Elaine took great care of us. We were treated very well as globalists and the process of checking to valet was seamless. The Hotel itself is perfectly situated, just close enough to the subways, Bryant Park and within reach of Times Square. ||||I used the gym and it was well maintained with clean towels, water, and protein bars! Total plus!!!||||We enjoyed the breakfast at the Bar which was complimentary as globalists. It was perfectly made and the fact that it is served from 6:30 to 12:30 makes it available at flexible times. ||||The King bed room was also spacious with tall ceilings and very large bathroom. The see thru closet cabinets were a very nice touch and we appreciated the complimentary waters and snacks. After we contacted management, they were good enough to give us a VIP setting on the thermostat to lower it since both my wife and I like colder rooms. ||||The valet parking process was also very seamless and it was easy to retrieve our car. Just note that you would be better off keeping your car at the Valet for your full stay and retrieve it when you leave as the in and out fees might attach if you have to travel. ||||We will be returning and very much look forward to our next stay at the Andaz!
This was our 2nd year staying at the Andaz for a Holiday weekend in NYC. The location of the Hotel works perfectly for us. Bryant Park, shopping, Restaurants, Radio city and Penn Station were all within walking distance. Chelsea was very helpful with my questions and needs before arrival. Upon arrival and all during our stay, Sasha was over the top. Always smiling, so pleasant and treated us as if we were "Family". The hotel and the Hospitality Industry are lucky to have her! The entire staff was constantly pleasant and professional.
Fantastic hotel, great for those with fragrance sensitivities. |Stayed in loft suite. |Brilliant location. Really Clean. Friendly staff. Spacious. Lovely huge bathroom. |Noisy at night on 7th floor but was expected |Just needs a chest of drawers as the wardrobe was too small for 3 of us we had to live out of suitcases.
We had an amazing stay at this hotel with our family! The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. And the breakfast—absolutely one of the best we’ve ever had! So many delicious options that pleased everyone in our group. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a fantastic experience!
Amazing experience. The team was the best of all. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help and guide. The hotel is perfect and the rooms have some incredible views of the city. Worth every penny. ||It is perfectly located near Bryant Park subway and Grand Central.
Good location super walkable and interesting bathroom concept-but a negative was not having a shower door…so all the water just sprays out on the bathroom floor. The room was also very spacious. That’s about where the niceties end. The elevators took forever I had to take 9 flights of stairs down at one point, the service of the hotel ruined my expensive luggage bag when storing the luggage. The room didn’t have enough lights so it was always dark when the sun went down. Wouldn’t go back. PS the towels smell like throw up… (they were “clean”)
Positives: Hotel staff is very friendly. Room is nicely appointed with good views. Location is great and street noise was minimal (7th floor).
Negatives: The lobby here is just weird. I think some consultant said “how can we make this feel different” and landed on putting the staff around a kitchen table in the middle of a weird room. Not a $700/night vibe. I’ll agree with another reviewer that the bathroom light situation was weird (why is it outside?) and the phone is hilariously bright (I covered it with a towel). The Thompson has way better robes, but at least this bed wasn’t nearly as bad as the last Thompson I stayed at.
All in all, I wouldn’t say it felt worth it for the price, but it wasn’t bad.
