Best WLM Reviews
Each taco was made with different portions. Chicken was hard to bite and brake apart. Tried the Mexican Chicken Tacos and will go back to try the other chicken tacos. Love the hot sauce.
Came back and tried the other two types of chicken and it was good, updated rating.
My coworker recommended this spot to me today, and in the spirit of spontaneity, I tried it out tonight! My coworker had never actually visited Ándale, but the lore and hype around this place had piqued her interest.
When we arrived, my husband and I were immediately charmed by the lime green digital menu boards. They were such a vibe. The place was bustling and packed on a Wednesday night at 8 pm. I can’t imagine how busy it is other nights. The service was friendly and efficient. We appreciated the veggie options on the menu.
We ordered a medium horchata, 2 burritos vegetarianos, and 1 tamale vegetariano— all for just shy of $40! The food was prepared quickly, and it was hot and fresh when we picked it up at the counter.
The avocado salsa was the true star of the meal! I’ve never been a fan of avocado salsa until tonight. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly salted— with a bit of heat.
The vegetarian burrito was pretty good, but I wished the ingredients were more evenly distributed. Also, I don’t think it needs the zucchini and corn. I think fajita veggies would be more fitting. The corn and zucchini clashed a bit with the rest of the fillings. The rice and beans were delightful.
The burrito came with chips and pico. The chips were crunchy and salty, and the pico was fresh but under salted.
I loved how creamy the horchata was and how much cinnamon they added to it. The vegetarian tamale was super savory and a little spicy. I prefer a classic cheese tamale, but it was still quite tasty.
There’s a market connected to the restaurant, and it was so cool. They clearly have a bakery onsite, and all of the pastries and cakes looked amazing. We obviously had to get a tres leches cake to go. I’m still too full to try it, but it looks incredible.
I enjoyed my experience immensely. I prefer the veggie burrito from my favorite south minneapolis neighborhood spot, but I’d definitely come back here when I’m in the area!
Edit: I had a bite of the tres leches just now, and woah!!! It tastes like Heaven. Light, creamy, fluffy. Perfection.
As seen on diners drive ins and dives! I got the chips in queso, one of each chicken taco, and the vanilla tress leches cake. Overall it was just alright. The atmosphere and staff were wonderful but the food was just okay. I was hoping for a little better but overall the restaurant is good. I would recommend the cake and would also recommend checking out the grocery store next door!
Probably the most popular authentic Mexican place near the cities, very busy usually. Fast service, good food. I like the shredded chicken taco. Chorizo taco was a little dry though.
This has been my comfort taco spot for a while not only due to its location but also due to the fact that their lengua and cabeza tacos continue to be excellent after so many years! I have witnessed the same kinds experience quality decreases elsewhere and I am happy about how Andale continues to keep it together.
Specifically, my rating is based on my favorite tacos, lengua and cabeza. I am always given a good amount of meat whenever I would order tacos here, and the tacos are still reasonably priced given the amount. There's a good amount of cilantro and onions as well, and the sauces always elevated the flavors. Whenever I have no idea what to eat, I would drop by here for good comfort food.
I also enjoy the chicken tamales here because they are filling and have a good amount of chicken meat in the masa hariña. However, honestly speaking, I have barely ordered anything else here, so I think my rating is a bit based on incomplete experiences, but I'd at least like viewers to know what my feelings are!
Of course, I will continue to return here because of how much Andale has been able to satisfy my cravings!
Left Texas to spend the Labor Day weekend in Minnesota. Everyone kept telling us to eat here. I was not disappointed. The place was busy but man our food was 10/10. Glad I could find comfort food here.
Food is good, they have indoor seating & outdoor patios, they keep tables bussed well & it's always busy! Tacos are priced right too!
We came here over another mexican restaurant. The food taste good and they have plenty of people working. The one thing I was not a fan of was the amount of salsa. The sauce came in two little conrainers, i wish i had more bit you had to ask and pay. Once we got here we learned that Guy Fiuri had once made a stop here. We will be in town a few days but not sure if we will return. We will see
