When I had to move, Andala is one of the reasons I decided to stay in Central Square. It is my go to cafe and the perfect spot for catching up with friends, studying, or a cute date!
The food and drinks are delicious and well priced, especially for the area. The hummus here is the best I’ve ever had! My favorite combo is the hummus ajami with chicken and hibiscus tea, but with their menu you can’t go wrong.
The staff is so friendly and never rush you. The atmosphere inside is cozy and the patio outside is the place to be in the summer. Add some hookah if you’re into it and you’ve got an ideal relaxing evening.
Don’t sleep on this place!
Amazing experience. Friendly staff. The patio seating with grape vines adorning the ceiling is adorable. Beautiful interiors and the food is amazing. Highly recommend the Thyme garlic chicken, hummus ajeem with chicken, Jerusalem egg sandwich and Turtle latte. Will definitely visit again.
I recently visited Andala, and it instantly became one of my favorite spots in town! The cozy, welcoming atmosphere was the first thing I noticed—perfect for a quiet afternoon or catching up with friends. The menu was filled with delicious, authentic Middle Eastern dishes, full of flavor and heart.
But what really touched me about Andala was their strong stance as a Pro-Palestine establishment. In a world where many remain silent, it’s refreshing to see a cafe that proudly supports a just cause. They raise awareness in a respectful, meaningful way, and it’s clear that they care about more than just food—they care about community and making a difference. Supporting a place like Andala means enjoying great food while standing with a movement that advocates for peace and justice. Definitely worth a visit!
We were recommended to go to Andala for a taste of Middle Eastern food. When we reached there for lunch, we were surprised that it is quite a quaint place to be with their interior furnishing and places to sit at the terraces. It has Palestinian origins apparently. We ordered the Hummus Ajami with Beef with bread, a slice of Basbousa, and 2 kinds of tea - Hibiscus and Raspberry. As this might the first time we have tasted palestinian food, the hummus has a soothing unique taste with a hint of their spices. It went well with the minced beef and the bread slices. The tea, especially the Hibiscus, is really an acquired taste. Given opportunity, we would probably come back again to try their other choices of Middle Eastern food.
Cozy cafe with middle eastern bites. I tried the mixed veggie plate and hummus plate. Both were ok but nothing I’d seek to eat again. Portions were small for the price and while everything was nice, nothing was outstanding. I most enjoyed the Chai latte. Service was very friendly.
The place has an amazing vibe of the arabic culture, they have amazing tea ☕️ had a beautiful evening! A staff member also gave us a map to explore Cambridge area. All the staff was very generous. A must visit place
This place stole my heart, I’m not gonna lie. I went there this afternoon for the first time and it was SO GOOD! Everything, from the food + coffee to the atmosphere + service.
I also don’t think it’s overpriced for the portions. I got a falafel plate and it was pretty filling, especially since it comes with A LOT of Arabic bread on the side.
Waited for an hour for the food to be prepared for one person. Asked servers twice and they replied “in ten minutes” which turned out to be 30 minutes. The spinach pie was very disappointing and the rice was cold under the chicken. The chicken is tasty but it’s not worth it for the time and cost. They are certainly under staffed.
