We went for Sunday brunch, which reminded me of free breakfast at hotels. If you like lots of sweet bread and potatoes, you probably will like it. I think the food was very bad, the small plate of salad was fine. Service was great. It was a rainy day, but we enjoyed the trails in the back of the property.
In my opinion it was a waste of money. I would rather go for a walk in the park and find a restaurant where I have some choices of tasty and healthy food.
MY husband and I spent the weekend in the Leprechaun Lair celebrating our 3 year anniversary. We were lucky to be a part of there Enchanted Nightfall Fantasy Ball. The food at the ball was delicious, the staff was great and the room was cute, warm and cozy. We had the Sunday brunch which was good. Would definitely go again in the future. The staff were amazing, answered any questions we had and were very nice.
My wife and I spent the day there, walking the grounds, having lunch, and taking photos. As fans of Tolkien and fantasy in general, it was a beautiful spot that we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was good, but I think it’d be nice if 2-3 options were given that people could choose from when booking. I also think it’d be fun if staff were dressed in fantasy garb, just to make the experience richer. All in all, definitely worth checking out!
We enjoyed the Sunday brunch with friends. The breakfast was a typical brunch, a little pricey, but we were coming for the experience more than the food. Cash bar if you wanted mimosas or Bloody Mary’s. We walked around the grounds and were very impressed. The “hobbit homes” would make for a perfect retreat or special get-away. The Tree House on the hill will be ready to reserve for guests in a few weeks. Overall, we had a lovely visit.
Had a beautiful relaxing feel, village is a small area but definitely beautiful, we visited with my two children under 5 and during lunch they were treated very kindly by the staff. They got their very own 5 star treatment and my son loved the lunch!
The drinks are a bit strong so heads up.
Went in November the weather was beautiful!
Stayed in the elven treehouse with my wife for a night. Had the super pass or whatever. Really nice LOTR feel and architecture. There's just nothing to do here other than hike. 1 hour of axe throwing/ archery. Don't bring your kids they will be bored to tears within minutes.
Staff is super friendly but basically acknowledged there's nothing to do here when asked. This place is better suited as an event center with cool rooms rather than masquerading as a resort.
The axe and archery needs to be longer it's really fun. The food was ok not great. This place has the potential to be awesome if they would throw even the slightest bit of effort into making it an actual village. I dunno maybe staff it with trades of that time. Blacksmith/ glassblowing maybe a bar that's actually open.
For the close to 700 dollars we paid we received almost nothing and had to pay for any drinks at dinner. Thing to note is the delivery breakfast was over 45 mins late.
Maybe you have to come here when they are planning a ball or something special. Don't come in December. It's a cool place and theme just executed very poorly.
I have stayed at many places all over the United States, the Ancient Lore Village overwhelmingly has far surpassed 5 star overpriced suites. Staff is AMAZING ???? ????, I mean AMAZING. Tom ( the owner) has developed a facility that set the bar above any other.
Thank you to all of you ????, this has been an experience I look forward to doing every year.
The musician with the fire side pit was a great add. Huge talent ????.
The rooms are luxurious and unique. It really reflects the vision of being in a magical realm. Staff is friendly, helpful and plentiful so if you need something they are right there for you. If you get a chance to go for a Princess brunch DO IT and bring a kid. Their energy is amazing! Special shout out to the fairy queen who gave a wonderful tour of the facilities. You will learn so much about the Fae Folk.
