Best WLM Reviews

We have dined at the Anchorage more times than I can remember and you can always count on two things.
First the service is always top notch. Everyone there goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a great dining experience.
Second, the food is always well prepared and delicious. I happen to always get the Guy Fieri combo because it is so good and just the right portion. Two great dishes in one.
Crab bisque was delicious and such a great price! Fish and chips appetizer was the perfect size, but not a fan of the potato wedges. Their regular fries were delicious. Server was so friendly & kind.
While there seems to almost be a wait for a table at dinner, it’s well worth it. Even when packed, the food was great, the service was quick and attentive, and prices were very reasonable. They run a fine-tuned machine here and it works. If you’re staying in OCNJ, it’s well worth crossing the bridge to visit here. We sat on the front porch facing the bay, and since the weather was nice, it’s was a great ambience.
The Anchorage has been a staple in Somers Point for a long time. It has been a favorite gathering spot for locals to meet in off season & visitors in summer. Recently, for a birthday celebration the staff were so kind & gracious with our special guest. Lucky enough to seat on the porch added to the event that made the okay meal nicer. Our server were terrific.
Selections included: Broiled scallops with linguine in wine sauce on side; Bacon cheese burger; Rack of Ribs. The scallops were a overcooked over a nice sauce. Since the linguine had none I poured it over the pasta to make my own sauce. The burger was overshadowed by huge bun but was told it was ok. The BBQ Ribs were good but not great.
Many remember when the Anchorage was rated as one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. I'm sorry to report it's slipped in this reviewer's eyes over last few visits.
Thank you to the servers who made the birthday very special for the special person at our table. You were all grand!
Michael and his team at Anchorage Tavern Restaurant truly exceeded my expectations with what I’d call an optional “post-wedding dinner gathering” for my out-of-town guests on Sunday, November 24. After exchanging a handful of emails, the team managed to set up a perfect arrangement for 22 people, seating us close together at two tables in the corner of the restaurant. It felt like we had booked a private party. My guests haven't stopped talking about the delicious food and exceptional service. Additionally, the servers went above and beyond by accommodating separate checks for my guests, which is rare for such a large party. A special shout-out to Dan, who provided outstanding service throughout the meal and even made a point to toast me and my new husband with a complimentary shot from the bar. You guys truly knocked it out of the park, as always! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you so much!
This location is fantastic! The service, ambiance, and food were all top-notch. It was a work lunch, otherwise, I would have loved to try one of the many beers on tap. I really wish I lived closer, I'd definitely make this place a regular haunt.
Omg. So good. You don't even need to order a meal, because the size of the appetizers. Food was really good. A little cold eating inside due to the a/c.
The cheese steak sandwich was delicious -- no surprise with the restaurant being so close to Philly! The place has a nice atmosphere as well, full of historical photos. There's also a contemporary jukebox available.
Out waitress was kind and attentive. Overall, a cool spot to go to for a beer and burger.
