Motels are always tricky, you can’t really expect to be blown away but also you don’t want a bad experience. Anchor Motel was a good experience. Their staff was great and the room was at a good price. While it was better than most motels I’ve experienced the rooms are very very small and the floors were just a bit sticky ????. Other than that it was a good stay. If you need a place to stay last minute this will be a good choice.
A charming hotel from a different era. It’s been newly remodeled repainted, new floors great beds and very clean. The anchor hotel’s modest pricing is what every budget traveler dreams of; clean and inexpensive. Delightful host!
Very clean old fashion motel, very reasonable price, owners were wonderful. Been on vacation for 2 weeks, this is 1st place we've stayed that wasn't a "chain" and enjoyed it very much.
Our group stayed here 6/6/23; we loved this little gem. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable the AC kept us comfortable. Check in was easy, owners live on site, and the price was a steal
The owners came and checked on us to see if we needed anything and recommended places to eat in town. Food was good at the Mexican restaurant and the coffee shop was great. I would give them 10 stars if I could
Oh my lord what a scary place. It's kinda out of the Twilight Zone and made me question my choices in ending up there asking for a room. The woman owner, I could assume, HATED me from the moment I opened my mouth to ask for their rate. I could feel her judgment and paranoia and I literally got away from her as fast as I could walk back to the truck. She then spied on me, hiding behind a door (in what felt like a paranormal mother of a "Norman Bates" moment out of the movie Psycho) and watching my every move as if I were trespassing for just stopping in looking for accomodations. Abort mission, eject from the anchor motel parking lot. The grounds were irrily clean with the smell of ammonia and moth balls.
... She scared me deep down inside. Lady there's more to life then whatever you got going on, or down at the ⚓ motel. .

Great motel with Wonderful owners who care. Stayed here for a little over a week. Clean rooms mine had a microwave and mini fridge in it. Awesome maids who care. Felt very safe here and quiet at night. Looking for a place to stay while in town I Highly recommend this place.
I am an 83 yr old woman and was turned away at night because I had a small dog. While the manager explained that too many people are allergic to dogs, her dog was roaming freely in the lobby. Now I'm trying to sleep in a truck stop parking lot.
Room was clean, check in/out easy, very fair price and management is hospitable. We found our stay to be quaint and comfortable while stopping over en route to the mountains. Lastly, we greatly appreciated the kindness of the maids and owner who found a sentimental necklace I left behind. They got back to me immediately and mailed it same day, refusing my offer to pay for the trouble. Thank you for the accommodations, Nicki and Anchor Motel Team!
