The
pizza was fresh and oh so good, but… if the sauce had a tad bit more seasoning! I would rather eat here than a name brand pizza establishment! The wings perfect and the atmosphere Perfect especially when a football game is on!!
We were first-timers and definitely plan on coming back. Everything we ordered was delicious but by far my favorite was the ranch. I am a ranch fiend. I believe I had more ranch than my drink. After that was the pizza. The crust isn't too thick where you feel junky after and the sause had tons of flavor. This is a great place to bring the entire family of all ages especially with a playground/ family area outside. Come on through you will not be disappointed. Oh yeah and great deals on the lunch specials. Good job guys.
I am absolutely not happy with our service at Anchor Bar. Our food was bad and this is not our 1st visit. Our server seemed uninterested, and her attitude was nothing i want my family to deal with again. Management may benefit from customer service training. As you can see, our wings/drums were barely bigger than a mini carrot and food wad cold, orders were also wrong and delivered randomly. Our appetizer was quite bare as well. Good luck if you decide to go to Anchor Bar in Schertz.
I just placed my first Uber Eats order and decided to order from Anchor Bar not far from our house.
We placed our order for an American and a Beef on a Weck. Because we both worked 12 hours today, we were pretty hungry and ordered priority service.
We got our food and my Beef on a Weck has no AuJus. Since I ordered it with no Horseradish, I just had had dry brisket on a bun.
My wife ordered the American.
The description on Anchor Bar's own website states the following:
8oz brisket/chuck burger topped with American cheese, lettuce, and caramelized onion on our brioche bun
What showed up had a meat patty with cheese and cole-slaw. Notice the carrots and cabbage. There was something in the cole-slaw that made it spicy. My wife couldn't eat it, but I like spicy so I ate most of it. I passed on the dry meat chunks.
Needless to say, I contacted Anchor Bar.
I first spoke to an employee and tried to explain our order was messed up. She said she would get the manager. Next, the manager answered the call and she explained that she doesn't manage the Uber menu when I told her there was cole-slaw on The American Burger that arrived. She said that indeed cole-slaw comes on that burger. When I tried to tell her again what the menu says, she blamed Uber and wouldn't listen about the menu I was referring to is their site and not Uber's. She didn't apologize and seemed to want to argue about Uber's menu.
That's when my wife got involved and the negotiation went down hill fast.
A manager should be responsible for what goes out of their restaurant and this manager was not happy and wanted a fight. My wife, Cassandra, obliged and spent the rest of the evening hungry and fuming.
I know this restaurant just moved to a new, larger location and might need to hire someone with some managing skills to avoid communication breakdowns and fix the issues when they arise instead of feed the fire.
The mac and cheese balls and mac and cheese burger were good. I had to send wings back because they had plastic in them. I just asked them to remake the wings. They compensated me with free mac and cheese balls, both of which I had to eat at home because it took so long for them to remake them. And they had some pretty intrusive flies in their. The gentleman that served us was nice. The wait time and the reminders about ordering food and getting drinks were subpar. Wasn't terrible, but the constant "issues" left a bad taste, literally, in my mouth.

Yesterday I went back. This was my time at your new location and the new staff was awesome. Our server, Kala, went above and beyond to take care of Us. New location, new energetic servers, I'm loving it.
The service was great. Staff was attentive.
I love wings and have eaten wings just about everywhere I have been. The chicken didn't taste like it was fresh. The skin was a bit chewy. The spicy garlic parmesan was more buffalo sauce and less garlic parmesan. The Buffalo sauce just needs a bit more of a buttery flavor. I also had tater tots that were salty. Either than that, these wings were on par with every other wing joint.
Our first time there, everything was great I ordered roast beef sliders, it came with Au Jus gravy, pizza was awesome, love thin crust
Have dined both take-out and in person. Overall, my husband and I like the food quite a bit! I’ve had the cauliflower wings both times and my husband gets traditional. We’ve also tried the mozzarella and mac and cheese bites. The ranch and marinara is delicious. The staff was friendly on both visits so far (pick up and in person). The restaurant is clean as well. We’ll be back!
