Best WLM Reviews
The Anchor Bar is a true Buffalo institution! The wings are legendary – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in the perfect amount of tangy, spicy sauce. The blue cheese dressing is creamy and complements the wings perfectly. The lively atmosphere and friendly staff add to the experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, the Anchor Bar is a must-try. This is my first time coming to the birthplace of the original Buffalo Wing…I had eaten a franchise location also located in buffalo in a previous trip. If you are coming into this location, be conscious that this place will always be busy due its popularity. Did not disappointed - the wings are not battered, they a perfectly crispy skin wings and savory selection. The rest of the food options are also great and DONT miss out on the House Potato wedges - ????!!!
Anchor Bar is an iconic restaurant. We stopped by because we wanted to go to the place where one of our favorite foods originated! We tried the buffalo chicken wing soup, it was unique and had a good consistency, it could have used a little more spice! The white pizza had a good crust and was a good size (small). We ordered the medium hot wings. They were fried to good and were mild. The decor was nice and they were playing fun music at the bar. Would recommend if your looking to explore touristy places!
First time where Florida heard this was the birthplace of Buffalo wings. As I walked in a nice atmosphere. Ann, my server, was amazing, had a great personality, and knew her stuff. I had the dry rub Habanero Ranch well done with fries and a loganberry drink. The wings were cooked perfectly. The rub, however, was a little salty to me. I had a takeout order of honey garlic I'll follow up with a review with on those.
We had been here before a couple of years back and this place doesn't disappoint. We had the Margaritas, wings and fries for a group of 3. Service was great, wait time for food was reasonable and taste was great!... 2 people from our group are not fans of spicy stuff and their suggestions were great!
Would definitely come back
This place is legendary because it is the original home of the chicken wing. We stopped in for dinner and enjoyed some wings and other menu items. They have a great selection of beers and other adult beverages. And you need to checkout all of the motorcycles and other paraphernalia they have on display. An amazing dining experience!!
Hands down the best chicken wings I have had in a long time. They have good flavor and a great crunch. Cooked perfectly ????. I am happy that we chose the original location to visit over the more chain style in Niagara area. This had a great atmosphere. I would certainly recommend a visit here!
Did not disappoint. Yes it is a tourist place, but the wings were really top notch. We had a party of 6 at lunch and they got us seated in less than half an hour. The waitress was awesome. Friendly, kept the drinks full even after the food came and made the experience better. I eat a ton of wings and in reality good wings are all about the same, but this is where it all started. If I am back in Buffalo I will try and get in here again. 6 recommendations and thumbs up.
When in the Buffalo area I had to stop by the birthplace of the buffalo wing. We had the fried pickles to start, they were hot and crisp with a nice dill tang. The Roast Beef on Wack was good but definitely needed the horse radish that was served on the side. The wings were nicely cooked with a crunchy skin but still moist on the inside. I tried the "original" medium sauce and found it to have a nice heat (almost mild) with great flavor. My wife had the chicken tenders with the Honey Burbon BBQ. This also had a great flavor and a very mild heat. The staff was helpful but seemed a little disinterested at times. Overall this was a great experience, and I will definitely return when I'm in the area again.
