Oh man! I just fell in love with this place tonight! It was our first time here, a friend referred us and it didn’t disappoint. The staff was amazing ???? Jessica helped us navigate a great menu.
I was also blown away with how soft the buffalo stake was. Chocolate fondue ???? was the perfect ???? dessert.
You must try Anasazi Steakhouse. We enjoyed the New York Steak, filet mignon, Avocado Salad and the chocolate peanut butter fondue. Every bite of steak was perfect because you cook your meat on a hot rock at your table. We will definitely be back next time we are in St. George.
The steak is very well seasoned and the Toblerone chocolate fondue was very good. And they bring a platter of good things to dip in the chocolate. They bring the steak out seared then you cook it on a hot rock. I got the NY strip and it was very good.
Porterhouse difficult to cut, new York side was tender and we'll flavored. First time cooking on a hot rock. Our waitress seemed distracted, no particular ambience. Very reasonable prices however! You can't get a Tito's martini at any other restaurant for $8!!!
Haven’t been here for over 2 years- it was still a good as the other times I’ve been here. The food and the “experience” of this restaurant is worth every penny!!! Cook your meat on the stone!!
We were a group of 12 so we were seated in a big open room with other large parties. It felt like a church dinner rather than a nice restaurant. The other/small party side of the restaurant appeared a little nicer at a glance.
The prices are a little high compared to the quality of the food, however, it probably has more to do with the unique menu of fondue options and the HOT STONE every entre can come with where you get to cook your meat to your liking.
It is nice that you can opt for the stone or the kitchen will cook your meat if you don't want the "do it yourself" experience.
Towards the end of the meal I began to notice all the smoke/steam in the room from all the individuals cooking their meat. Didn't bother me too much but it encouraged me not to linger after dinner and our clothes and jackets still smelled like meat the next day.
All in all, I enjoyed the experience. But I don't believe I'll be back unless I bring grandkids or someone I think would get a kick out of cooking their own meat.
I do recommend sharing if you go so you can taste and try many things.
4 of us shared 1 fondue, 2 entrés and a fondue dessert. It was more than enough. We upgraded the 2 salads that come with the meal. I will say their Caesar salad was probably my favorite part and it was plenty for 2 of us. We had the California dreaming fondue. I didn't think it was cheesy enough and preferred our other friends' pretzel and cheese fondue. My friend preferred ours because she doesn't like cheese. Request rolls!!! We thought they just bring them, but apparently not.
Rib eye and chicken were alright. Shrimp ????????. The rosemary garlic mashed potatoes were good but cold so I threw them on my hot stone. Loved their sweet carrots! We had the caramel chocolate fondue. That was really good but not enough items to dip and finished. If only we had a spoon, we would have scraped the bowl! They do serve fish, btw.
I love that I can cook my own steak the way I like it on the hot stone! Both my hubby and I prefer the filet mignon steak. The fondue appetizer was wonderful. Great cheesecake for dessert too. Waitress was great ; refilled drinks as needed
I don't usually order seafood so far away from the ocean; however, both times I've had it here, it has been DELICIOUS! We had the pistachio-crusted halibut, filet mignon (on the rock), stuffed mushrooms and chocolate caramel fondue, it was incredible! Our server (Jessica) was PHENOMENAL! Don't be scared by the prices, the food is definitely worth every penny!
