Best WLM Reviews

We’ve stayed here four times to go to Disneyland and each time we’ve stayed here it was a good experience. The staff are nice and accommodating. The rooms are basic but it works for our family, it is mainly a place to shower and sleep as we are out majority of the day anyways. The rooms are equipped with a mini fridge and microwave which is great. The continental breakfast provided is simple and my family enjoys it before heading to the parks. There is a pool and hot tub on the property that our kids have used after a long day out. There is a laundry facility on site which is a plus. The dryer had issues the last time and didn’t dry our clothes. Overall we enjoy staying here.
I and my two daughters chose this location for a quick girls trip to Disneyland during Christmas. Even though the area is busy and congested, our room was very quiet. Because it was so close to the park we could run back if we needed to. We enjoyed the hot tub every night. The blackout shutters worked fantastic. The breakfast hit the spot before we went into the park. We will definitely be returning. As an extra bonus, Denny’s is right next-door and they were wonderful as well.
They were remodeling still at check in, made sure they gave a room that’s was actually ready at check in. Amazing distance front the park! Felt like the room was very clean. Bedding was decent pillows and blankets could be a bit better but for the price we will stay again on our next visit. ||Also flying in before and after check in and check out times, they had coin operated lockers to hold all our belongings while we were able to walk around waiting for travel plans
Everything was perfect for our family trip. The two bedroom suite was spacious and everyone was comfortable. The price was on point as well. The rooms were very clean and maintained. And you can’t beat the location. The breakfast could’ve used some more options but hey, free is free. The kids loved the pool as well.
Proximity to Disneyland was the key to staying here. This is one of the best locations outside of the park. Hands down one of the best, maybe two other hotels get closer. The breakfast was subpar at best but it gets something in your stomach before you go crazy on funnel cake in the park. Main issue was Valet manager creating significant stress for no reason. Front desk should have handled him better and kept him off the phone. Customer service from him was at a zero. ||The front desk staff was pleasant. Only wish was that they keep the Valet manager from getting on the phone. I paid for parking and one day there was no parking. So the valet said we can valet it for you, don’t worry. Only issue was my car is a Tesla and I have no key. He solved the problem like a champ and made me feel valued. I would be giving an exceptional review about the valet department of the hotel had the valet manager not royally messed it all up. The next day I get a call while at Disneyland saying my car needs to be moved and the valet manager would like to speak to me. I tell them how the valet the day prior was excellent and really solved the problem of me not having a space to park even though I had paid for parking. The manager gets on the phone and we get disconnected as I was walking into Indiana jones, note to all reception gets iffy in that line. When I get out of line I have a voicemail waiting for me saying my car is subject to being towed. What in the world! I call the hotel, now frustrated, and chat with the front desk and manager along what in the world they’re doing I’m trying to enjoy vacation and you’re telling me you’re going to tow my car when you can provide the paid for service that your valet fixed. This was all orchestrated by hotel/valet staff, had a valet ticket and everything and you’re going to tow my car. Not professional by any means. I’m sitting here trying to enjoy myself at Disneyland freaking out if my car is going to get towed. Not cool at all. Then to top it off after I get off the phone for the third time the valet manager forgets to hang the phone up and I can hear them start talking about me. Overall the valet needs retraining on customer service and the gentleman who fixed the problem should take his job. Let’s try and remember not to create problems out of nothing.
Excellent staff and customer service! Housekeepers and maintenance guys are awesome! Rooms were so clean and fresh towels everyday. The lockers are convenient and the short walk to the parks makes Desert Inn our Disneyland hotel from now on.
We booked this hotel based on some comments in various Disneyland groups. It was stated to have a short walk and clean rooms as well as economical prices.
Once booked, I did see some negative reviews and I got kind of worried that it wouldn't be clean or I'd be uncomfortable there. We decided to stick it out anyhow.
I'm so glad we did! The hotel was a 5-7 minute walk to the security gates at Disney. It was the perfect price point. We had a C2 family parlor which was great for our family and big enough to give us space and we could easily park a nobility scooter and toddler's full size stroller in our rooms without issue. The rooms were maybe a bit dated in appearance but who cares, they were VERY clean and comfortable. The worst part of the stay was the daily early morning trash truck that disturbed my mom's sleep. But other than that, we loved it! It was so easy to get to and from the parks! We also loved having a Denny's and IHOP on either side of us. We brought swimsuits but didn't have time to swim - that being said, I saw maintenance workers cleaning the pool daily at morning and also at night! Breakfast was modest but filling enough for park days! We especially loved the grab and go pastries. We'll definitely stay here next time!
Great hotel for Disneyland! At the end of a full day in the parks, it’s great to walk across the street to your hotel. The rooms are clean and there is a continental + breakfast every morning. The staff is helpful and friendly. We stayed at this hotel for every Disneyland trip.
