Best WLM Reviews
We had the best time at Ampersea. We booked about a month out and wanted to sit outside. We were seated at the best table. The views are incredible. The service is impeccable. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and overall just a nice guy. The highlight of our visit was the manager Joey! He went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable experience. He took so many beautiful photos of us at sunset. He made sure our food was to our liking. He truly is a gem.
We ordered the apple/kale salad which was delicious. We ordered a seafood pasta special that was phenomenal and also the crab cake which was one of the best I’ve had. We highly recommend this restaurant and are looking forward to returning in the future.
Amazing food and an amazing manager. We came in to celebrate a birthday and while we waited for our table Joey treated us to a picture by the water. He was so sweet and started our evening off on the right foot.
Unfortunately, our waiter didn't keep up the same vibe...he was miserable and definitely killed the mood right from the start. We felt as if we bothered him with our orders.
He wasn't pleasant the entire time, even after asked if he was having a rough evening. Last straw was when we asked for dessert for our birthday girl (which he was aware of from the beginning), he said the kitchen was closed. After we finished paying another couple received dessert. Sadly he made the entire experience crappy.
Thankfully the food was great and Joey was a vibe all by himself. Thank you for being so amazing and the restaurant is lucky to have you.
Me and my hubby’s first time here and it was a wonderful experience. The employees were all very welcoming, attentive and kind. The manager Joey had stopped by our table to talk to us and he was very nice and welcoming! The food was splendid.
I recommend trying the crab cake! Was very delicious. We ended our dinner off with the strawberry bread pudding with vanilla ice cream, which was amazing! Service 10/10 and the food was a 10/10! Highly recommend!
My husband and I decided to try out a new restaurant for our third year anniversary, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We decided to sit outside on the water, so the atmosphere was amazing! Customer service was excellent we had KeeKee as our waitress although everyone who helped her was also very professional and kind. The chef and kitchen staff were definitely on their A game because the food was delicious. Last but not least we were over joyed to have met Joey the manager who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best anniversary experience ever!!! He was very engaged with all of his guests making sure that we had everything that we needed with a smile that lit up the room. We’ll definitely be back again to try more items on the menu!
Oh my gosh! Words cannot describe how tasteful the food was. Highly recommend the crab pretzel and the chopped salad. Fish tacos were ok. I think there’s better items on the menu like the lobster role.
Brussels are a must have. No beers on tap but a wide selection of whiskeys. Do check your bill the whiskey price on the bill happened to ring in $5 higher than the menu price.
Joey the new manager was super sweet and made it special for the evening. Also Alyssa is a wonderful server.
We celebrated my mothers birthday at Ampersea over the weekend and let me tell you, our fabulous host Joey was AMAZING!! By FAR the best experience I’ve ever had at restaurant, his energy was so enthusiastic & magnetic!! He even captured beautiful pictures of my family, made us feel so welcomed! The food was ok, definitely was expecting more flavor. I had the Salmon dinner & my boyfriend had the Short Rib dinner, we also had Oyster Rockefeller, Crab Pretzels, and Brussel Sprouts. Overall we gave the food a 6.5-7, but the service & hospitality made up for it. Add a tad bit more seasoning and I would’ve gave it 5’s across the board!!
My beautiful birthday dinner on 10/17 at 7:30 pm was a success. Joey was very welcoming and enthusiastic toward my friends, family and I. Even though I was coming in late, Joey greeted me with a boisterous “Happy Birthday!” The vibe upon arrival was open and comfortable and the aesthetic was as pretty as the pictures online.
My server, whose name I forgot, was very pleasant and attentive to us. We all ordered our drinks then food, my drink was a fall cinnamon cocktail. Everyone enjoyed their food. I got the scallops which came with greens and mashed potatoes that tasted like a granny watching her blood pressure was in the kitchen so the flavor was there. I would go back to try the lobster roll that my mom and best friend enjoyed.
After I ate, Joey eagerly offered to photograph me on their gorgeous harbor side seating area. The pictures came out fabulous! I was served a delicious birthday cheesecake and then a bottle of my choice was brought to my table for shots to be poured for the table.
Overall I am happy in my choice in having my birthday dinner at Ampersea.
Lovely brunch experience today! Beginning with the host and servers, this place leaves little to be desired. The food was flavorful and delicious. We got the chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes and the Ampersea seafood omelette!! Yummy! The manager Joey Gavino went out of his way to engage, check in and make us feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely going back with family! Thank you, Joey and crew!
