Nice spot close to the water. I got the fish bites appetizer and fried scallops and oysters entree. It was good.
My only complaint was the food sat a while before it came to the table. Fried food should come straight out.
I brought some home and heated in air fryer, it was great!
The birthday s'mores dessert is a fun dessert, enjoyed it!
The food was amazing and the service was top notch, the waitress “Honey” was very friendly/ helpful and attentive. Out of any restaurant I’ve ever been to, I’ve never had the wait staff check in that frequently the way they did here.
.
There was a long wait for a table, it was about an hour but there are corn hole boards outside and a lot of seating with some cool views of the sound.
First time trying and for 3 we were quoted a hour and half and waited about a hour. With a beautiful view and so many places to sit it went by fast. The ambiance of the restaurant is so neat. The portion sizes are huge. I got the fried pork chops, I would have gotten one if I knew how large! The sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes were phenomenal, as well as my pork dumpling appetizer. Bread that came with is great. I would love to come back to try more on the menu. I didn’t care for the fried green tomatoes. The s’mores dessert is so fun for kids and a lot of kid meal choices.
This place is on island time, if you want speedy service, this is not the place for you. That being said this place is a vibe. A mosquito themed restaurant? We were told a 30min wait but we had drinks at the bar so the time passed quickly. We had a great table with a view of the water. The bread was really creative and flavorful. We ordered the pork dumplings which were good but the sauce is what made the dish. My husband had the crab cakes and I got a tuna steak. Both were packed with flavor. If you are looking for a fun night out, I would recommend, place was hopping but did not feel crowded. We will definitely be back.
As soon as we walked in the (assuming) manager was very welcoming. Our waitress was Blossom and she was so extraordinarily pleasant and provided amazing service. We ordered the chorizo dip, lobster dip, chips, fries, shrimp, and you can’t forget the margarita!! It was AMAZING. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area. ????
We had a table of 7 and waited for over 2 hours to be seated so when I suggest get there before the restaurant opens, I mean it. Or you will be waiting for a very very long time and that NC heat don’t play. Hope you brought a cooler and a snack for the wait. The food is worth the wait though, I will say. Our waitress seemed friendly, the restaurant was clean, overall a nice restaurant. Recommend the vanilla Creme Brûlée, the s’mores, and the Thursday night sushi.
Great place to eat. Only drawback is there is usually a wait time. Everything is good. Loved the crab cakes. I had meatloaf. The best ever! Wife had pork chops. The gravy was great.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a kind, friendly, sharp young lady who deferred us to a gentleman who put us on the first available waiting list. Very professional. We waited outside on the cozy rocking chairs in the sea breeze. It was a 20 wait but we did not care. Our server Kristin/ Sugar was so kind and very helpful. The clam chowder was the most delicious I had ever tasted, honestly. Compliments to the chef! Shrimp and grits was so flavorful with sausage, mushrooms and an "out of this world" gravy. Husband had broiled seafood with rice. All dishes were unique in flavor. Delicious coffee came in giant cups. Every detail was special. We will return when we return to Emerald Isle.
