Was craving BBQ while driving to Rome GA and saw the sings for Amos BBQ on Cummings Highway. A quick 4 minute detour and we were so happy with the decision we made to stop here. Very homey feeling spot with good food and great service. Wife and I shared the sampler with a medium coke and it all came out to $21. Food was delicious, I will definitely stop here again as we often drive to Rome. Will definitely try the fried okra next time. Don’t be discouraged by the look of outside, you will definitely enjoy the food and atmosphere once inside. The Ribs were my favorite!
Great place! The food was excellent but what I noticed the most was the friendliness of the staff. Very pleasant and "have a great rest of your day" was heard often.
SO GOOD! We were at the little market across the way and needed some lunch. So glad we did. Very generous portions and YUM delicious.
One of my favorite BBQ spots. I've been coming here for at least 15 years. I'm a huge fan of their SEC biscuits. The sampler plates are great. The place has a cool rustic feel to it. Very country. Very fitting to the town. All the locals will tell you this is a restaurant to try out if you are in town and happen to find yourself on that side of town.
Great authentic BBQ locals sitting with visitors putting the chew on sum Q'ue....too much pork fer just one fork. Heaping portions that won't punch your change purse.
Lots of old cast iron country objects that will test your knowledge and keep people off their phone. Taught my son what some of the items were once used for. Look but don't touch.
Went here for the first time yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food!
Second time coming here. We loved everything. They have a drive thru, which is great. We got a couple of pork sandwiches and some fried pickles (an order came with 5, but we ate two on the way home). Their brunswick stew is probably the best I've ever had. We did order an extra side of bbq sauce because it's that good. Last time we were here we got the same, along with mac and cheese, baked beans and slaw. The slaw was a vinegar base, not mayo. The baked beans were good along with the mac and cheese. The price for every item we got was outstanding. I've been to countless bbq places with sandwiches costing 13$. The quality of this meat is the best I've had. I did order a gallon of sweet tea as well the first time we came. Excellent tea. I'm eager to come back and try everything on the menu. This is a must stop place for bbq!
A very unique place!
Delicious food in a very antique place. The inside of this unique restaurant will take you back in time. You can admire the decorations from back in the days while enjoying a delicious bbq sandwich. From outside, It might look like an old dirty ranch, but it is actually a very humble, old looking restaurant. Once you enter, the guys at the register will great you in a very respectful and attentive way. There is not much room for seating inside, but there is also seating available outside. There's a good variety of food in the menu. But you can not skip the BBQ pork, chicken, or beef.... simply a great place!
