Beautiful location, clean comfortable rooms, and very convenient for diving. I did a refresher SCUBA course and Gabe was excellent! He was very patient and attentive. The downsides are that no food was available on the property, and we only had decaf coffee in the room. They also were not able to accommodate a snorkel trip for my friend while I went diving. But overall, we had a blast with the free kayaks and paddleboards, and food was in easy walking distance.
We booked a townhouse and when we arrived we were given the option of switching townhouses (from king to two queen beds) because the guests before us had cooked seafood so there was a smell they had been working to clear. That was very thoughtful for them to offer ahead of time instead of being surprised by that. The townhouse was recently renovated and clean. Having a small kitchen available is very nice to have especially with small children. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. The driveways were being resurfaced with more gravel. It is a well taken care of resort.
Their pool overlooking the bay was awesome. It’s also 7.5 ft at one end. The siting dock and sandy area they laid out is great for bringing a packed lunch or getting some sun.
While using the free paddle board at sunset, we unexpectedly came upon a manatee. We got to watch it surface a few times and that was a huge highlight of our trip.
The crew at Amoray are amazing! We brought our 15 yr old son to try discovery scuba and I was very happy with how well all of the crew took care of him on his first dive experience. The water was very rough but they made the diving in those conditions as comfortable as they could. Grace found so many cool little critters we never would have seen. Captain Aaron was our captain on the first day and our guide the second day, he was also great to dive with. We saw reef shark nurse shark, turtles, puffer fish, eels, rays, lobsters, crabs and a ton of beautiful fish. Captain Kevin, Gabe and Gabby were also great to dive with. Can't wait to go back!
Perfect for a dive vacation! We spent a couple of days at the resort, did a refresher dive course at their diving center (including pool session + 2 dives). Super easy to book, all the staff are lovely and our instructor, Grace, was super experienced and knowledgeable. Of note, the diving center is super cool: all staff are incredibly helpful and environmentally conscious, and that is what they teach in their dives. They also partner with other centers and the coral restoration ICARE, which do beautiful work to keep the coral reefs safe. Overall our experience was 10/10. The only thing we might rate lower were the bicycles (not maintained properly plus no breaks!) and the beds/pillows (quite personal but they were too soft for our taste).
Check in and check out process was so easy and everyone was so helpful and friendly. The convenience of being so close to the boat was amazing.
The dive was also super amazing. I feel like it was perfect for us, as we are fairly new divers and this was our first salt water dive and our first boat dive. The crew had good energy, we did two 30 ft dives on the reefs. Saw a stingray, turtles, moray eel, barracuda, lots of coral, and beautiful fish.
Christy, Our guide made us feel safe and was really easy to talk to. She gave us some good tips, carried extra weights for us just in case, pointed out some really cool marine life, and most importantly - she got us back to the boat.

The entire resort and dive package was amazing. Great service from everyone, started in the office and continued onto the boat for diving. The room was clean, cool and nice. It is exceptional for a scuba resort.
Max our diving instructor and coach was fabulous. Friendly, funny and knowledgeable. He took his time with all of us to make sure we were comfortable with the skills required to be a safe proficient diver. I cannot give the whole team enough praise, from Kevin the captain to Tess the first mate on the dive boat all were 100%!!!! If you want to get scuba certified this is the place to do it!
Perfect place in key largo if you’re interested in scuba diving or snorkeling. Capt G, Rob, & Kent we’re AMAZING to work with on board. Super personable and accommodating to our needs. Kent went above & beyond as a guide. The hotels “beach” is small, but has a lovely sunset view and offers free paddle boards & kayaks.
Class act operation from the beginning to end. The room was immaculate and I arrived late on Thanksgiving so they left me a sweet note with all the info I needed and the key. They also gave me a late checkout after diving which is a HUGE plus since I was heading to a memorial service immediately after.
The dive center is great and the boat was easy to get around. I REALLY appreciated Kent helping me get fitted. I literally brought nothing since I was only diving one day. I am used to my back inflate bcd and he found one for me to use which was so kind. I will definitely dive with them again. High Five to an amazing operation.
Even if you aren’t diving I would stay here as this is a true gem in the keys.
