Best WLM Reviews
My first time here. I had the Saturday Buffet. The food was ok I enjoyed it. It's something different for me since I don't eat Indian Food that often. The building has definitely saw better days.
I finally got to fulfill one of my wife’s long-awaited requests: dining at Amma’s Kitchen since we moved to Cincinnati, OH in 2019. To my surprise, the restaurant looked much older inside than outside. Despite the less-than-pleasant ambiance, we were excited to see their lunch buffet. They had a wide variety of food, and our favorites were the Vadai, Pongal, and Sambar. For the price, they offered quite a spread of veggies, but the taste was just okay. The desserts were kind of meh. The naan was dry, and the chutneys didn’t hit the mark. My wife ordered filter coffee but was served instant coffee in a fancy Tawara set—what a letdown! On the bright side, the staff were super friendly, which made the experience a bit better. If you ask me, it was worth the price, but not a treat for the taste buds. They could reduce the number of dishes and improve the quality and taste instead. My wife is happy to have finally checked this off her list but disappointed she won’t be coming back. Oh well, it was worth a try!
This place is kinda nondescript from the outside, but they have some of the best Indian food in Cincinnati. It is all vegetarian, so if you must have meat, look elsewhere. But their menu selection is large and their flavors are always on point. It’s also a little lighter than typical Indian food, which is nice. Their dosas are best enjoyed in the restaurant, as they come out hot and crispy and so dang good. My favorite part is their spice level… definitely some of the spiciest food I’ve had in the city. Anything above an 7 (out of 10) will have ya sweating hard. I love Amma’s.
This Indian restaurant is a really nice treat, cradled in Cincinnati. It has such unique foods and I love it every time I come. It is "buffet" style on certain days. The place itself isn't as nice as any other place, but come on, it's the food that matters, right? Definitely recommend the Ghoni Monturian (I don't actually know how to spell that). If you are looking for a nice restaurant for a nice dinner or something, this is not the place for it. It is indeed great food and a fun experience. Definitely recommended!!!
Amma's Kitchen is my favorite! Everything on the menu is incredible. I love the variety of amazing vegan options (and how clearly they label them)! The people there are unbelievably warm, friendly, and accommodating. I can’t recommend it enough!
Amma’s Kitchen has always been our go-to buffet for Indian food. They primarily offer vegan and vegetarian options, with a lot of choices for vegans. One nice feature of their buffet is that you can order some items from the kitchen that aren't on the buffet, although the portions are usually smaller, which is understandable. The quality of the food is top-notch, with several options for plant-based proteins, breads, and soups, and plenty of condiments. The only drawback is that the buffet menu rarely changes, but we still travel from Dayton, Ohio several times a year to enjoy it. I highly recommend arriving when they open because they can get very busy, and the buffet station is small compared to American buffets.
The restaurant is very clean, and the staff are friendly and welcoming to people from all cultural backgrounds.
Really liked the food. It's not only tasty but homely. It was totally raining outside and I visited this place to have a nice sampler of hot ???? pakodas and vadas. And they had totally satisfied my craving...I ordered for a Asst.Platter first which includes potato bajji, crispy vada, paneer bajji, samosa and a stuffed masala vada???? They were served with 4 varieties of chutneys and a sambar. My goodness,I was almost full with my appetizer.????
Then I went for the main course and ordered for my favourite 'Chana Bhatura'.I was surprised by the size of the puri first and then it was so perfectly made and served with onion, lemon and a green chilli on the side.Hmm,pretty good and a kind of north Indian touch????.
Our hunger and the encouraging rain ????️ outside made me and my friends to go for another dish and this time we tried Vegetable ???? Noodles.I'm personally not so much interested towards noodles but these are so thin and taste wise it was good. I liked them.
Price wise they were so budget friendly. And people inside the restaurant were friendly and nice.
What's more good than having a good hot food on a rainy day????Anyone who wish to try, something good and homely in vegetarian, this place is a must go one.✅
Spicy South Indian food. Dosa, idli, and vada were all delicious. Rasam, chutneys and sambar are spicy!! We also had dal and rice which was just like home made. The staff were very friendly. If I lived in Cincinnati I would be a regular.
