Awesome and unique atmosphere, exquisite baked goods!
I love how unique this place is and how good their pastries, etc. are. I don’t normally like macaroons- but theirs are amazing!
I got some of their little tarts which were delicious.
This is one of my wife’s favorite places!
You seriously don’t want to miss out on this gem!
I fell in love with Amelie’s years ago. I recall wishing that they would open a location in my hometown of Atlanta, GA they did, but it did not last long.
One night while in Charlotte I made the suggestion that my family and I make a late night run to Amelie’s. It’s been such a long time since I visited that I did not realize they are in a new location. The new to me location still gives me the same energy as when I visited years ago. The quirkiness of the decor really makes this place special.
We arrived fairly late- maybe 30 minutes prior to closing. However, we were still able to order everything we wanted. Additionally, the staff still had great attitudes!
Overall I love everything about Amelie’s, the decor, the staff and most importantly the food and drinks. If you have a chance to check this spot out, I highly recommend. You do so!
Loved it to the bits. Charlotte being a new city, Amelie’s was on the top recommendations on the list of things to do. We visited and were thrilled to see the location all jazzed up with different themes. The chandeliers being the main attraction. The place gives a fancy vibe yet simple enough to feel comfortable instantly. The desserts have a good variety and will definitely want to keep going back to try more/all of it… Also, they have very good vegetarian options for meals - which is a huge plus. Definitely a recommended spot if you are in town… Unique in its own way and brings back a lot of France culture to the Charlotte Uptown mix…!
Nutella tart was not too sweet which I loved. Lemon tart was perfect! I also got turkey Brie sandwich. It was delicious ???? a little sweet from the jam they put. Lots of bizarre and surprising things like chandeliers and huge kitchen gadgets.
Would be back to try more pastries ????
My first st time here, I had a cinnamon roll, which was so,so good, especially the icing. I also had a cup of white chocolate mocha. Nice atmosphere. Love the decor.
Dessert is my thing, and Amelie's didn't disappoint! Seriously, everything was scrumptious. Visit them!!! (And, I'm a baker who is very particular about the dessert I eat!) I just have to mention how adorbs it is inside. ????????????
We came here for brunch around 1 PM on a Saturday. The line was decently long but we only waited about ten minutes. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly!
We each got a tiramisu latte & split the lemon raspberry tart. I got the cream cheese danish and my friend got the strawberry danish.
The lattes were so creamy & smooth! The tart was creamy and fluffy. The strawberry danish had super fresh strawberries and was drizzled in honey. The cream cheese on both was beautifully rich & the pastry was fluffy with the perfect amount of crisp on the edges.
The macaroon flavors we got were (from top to bottom, left to right): Lavender Lemon, Café au lait, Cookie Dough, RE&B (proceeds toward the Hurricane Helene Fund), PB&J, and Coconut Lime. We weren’t sure of the flavor of the Red, White, & Blue but it reminded of us crunch berries! Super tasty.
Can’t wait to try other items on my next visit!
Always a great experience! Got the pecan tarte, the crust is very crunchy, I think it would be better warmed but loved the caramelized pecans! The cheesecake brownie was also good, the brownie is so decadent! The “cheesecake” part on top wasn’t my favorite though. Still awesome atmosphere!
